Abstract: A culinary tool for slicing and dicing, includes a base connected by a hinge to a frame that carries two cutting grids. A drive mechanism connects a pivoting handle to a pusher such that pivoting of the handle relative to the frame drives displacement of the pusher and the turning of the frame between the open and closed positions, and a forward stroke turns the frame about the hinge toward the base, pressing the item through the first cutting grid, and a reverse stroke moves the pusher to the one of the ends of the cavity, pressing the item through the second cutting grid.

Abstract: The present invention is concerned with a grating apparatus. The apparatus has a grating member provided with a grating surface configured to interact with a food item. The grating member includes a plurality of assemblies of teeth pointing away from the grating surface, wherein the assemblies of teeth include pointed teeth of non-homogenous in size, each pointed tooth has a body defining at least a first triangular side with an angle of inclination from substantially 44-67° with respect to the grating surface.

Abstract: A grater for single-handed operation has a handle adapted to be grasped by the fingers, and a plunger adapted for engagement with the thumb. The plunger is slidingly received in an opening extending longitudinally through the handle, with a spring urging it to an extended position. A grating cutter and a cooperating holder for locating a food item adjacent the grating cutter are both disposed in a cavity within the handle. A detachable container for holding the food item encloses a resiliently-biased pusher for urging the food item toward the grating cutter, and reciprocating the plunger causes relative movement between the grating cutter and the holder.

Abstract: A culinary press (2) has a pair of pivotably connected members (4, 6) one comprising a chamber for receiving a foodstuff and having a perforated surface (18), and the other a plunger (24) movable into the chamber for, in use, forcing food through the perforated surface (18) to an opposite side thereof, and a scraper (26) mounted on the press (2) so as to be movable across the said opposite side of the perforated surface (18) to scrape off any foodstuff adhered thereto after crushing of food.
