  • Patent number: 9382711
Abstract: A connection system for joining rectangular wall frames fabricated from pairs of rectangular cross section tubular side frame members and rectangular cross section tubular top and bottom frame members utilizes identical connectors, such as a single size machine screw and identical threaded inserts to provide upper and lower interconnections. Three different interconnections can be made using the single size machine screw and insert, the latter inserted into the open upper ends of the rectangular cross section tubular side frame members. Frame closure panels can be attached in a simple and secure manner.

  • Patent number: 5443017
Abstract: A modular work station includes a dual column construction with a separately adjustable work surface supported on each column. Each of the columns utilizes a tubular telescoping construction and can provide as many as three individual modes of adjustable movement to the work surface, including lift, tilt, and horizontal back and forth movements. Supporting columns can be selected with varying functions to provide extremely broad versatility. The lift and tilt functions are preferably provided by motor driven linear actuators mounted within the telescoping column with appropriate controls to prevent contact between adjacent work surfaces when one or both of the surfaces is also provided with back and forth sliding movement.

  • Patent number: 5330147
Abstract: A clamp assembly for adjustably mounting a video monitor or CPU to a supporting table which is tiltable out of a horizontal plane includes a pair of main clamp members which may be slid onto the table to hook around and extend between the front and rear edges of the table and a pair of angular cross clamp members threadably and adjustably attached between the main clamp members. The cross clamp members are adapted to be initially slid apart from one another a distance sufficient to allow a monitor to be placed therebetween and over the main clamp members. The cross clamp members are then slid toward one another and into engagement with the front and rear edges above the monitor base and tightened in position to hold the monitor against inadvertent sliding movement as a result of tilting of the table. The entire clamping assembly may be mounted and utilized without cutting, drilling, or in any other way disturbing the integrity of the table top.

  • Patent number: 5301616
Abstract: A repositionable paper stop for the edge of the top surface of a table includes a long body having one flat planar side and another side having an upstanding edge portion which can be alternately repositioned in a groove in the top surface of the table between an inactive position with the flat planar side flush with the table surface and inactive position with the upstanding edge portion extending above the table surface to act as a conventional stop. The stop member can be manually displaced from either position by a slidable lift pin manually movable into the groove from below the table and into contact with the underside of the stop member in the groove.

  • Patent number: 4999922
Abstract: The present invention discloses a multi-purpose drafting instrument adapted to combine the functions of drafting triangles and commonly used drafting scales. The drafting instrument of the invention generally comprises an L-shaped integrally formed substantially planar construction having two legs of equal length and width disposed perpendicular to each other. The end of each leg is inclined at an angle of 45 degrees relative the outer edge of each leg, the upper face of each leg is beveled at its inner edge to provide a thin working edge, and a ruled scale is provided on the lower face of each leg at its inner edge. The drafting instrument also includes a plurality of glide points extending outwardly from the lower face of the instrument to support the instrument slightly above the surface upon which it is used, and a handle disposed near the intersection of the two legs of the instrument to facilitate its use.

  • Patent number: 4950517
Abstract: The present invention discloses a bilateral adhesive assembly adapted to the primary purpose of removeably adhering a sheet of drafting paper or drafting film to a drafting board. The adhesive assembly of the invention generally comprises an elongate adhesive inhibiting carrier tape, a plurality of preferably rectangular stickers substantially coated on one side and partially coated on the opposite side with a pressure sensitive adhesive compound and contiguously disposed along the carrier tape with the substantially coated side in contact with the carrier tape, and a plurality of adhesive inhibiting protective tabs each disposed over the pressure sensitive adhesive compound on the partially coated side of each of the stickers. The adhesive assembly is formed into a roll and is preferably provided in a dispenser box suitable for dispensing individual stickers from the roll.

  • Patent number: 4926564
Abstract: The drafting instrument of the invention generally comprises a triangular integrally formed substantially planar construction having three perimeter legs, interconnected end to end to form the triangular configuration and define an open space in the interior of the body, and one interior leg extending across the open space to form interior complementary angles to the angles formed at the respective intersections of the perimeter legs. The instrument is provided in two primary embodiments, the first adapted as a 30/60 degree triangular instrument and the second as a 45 degree triangular instrument. The instrument includes a plurality of glide points extending outwardly from one or both faces of the instrument to support the instrument slightly above the surface upon which it is used, and further includes a handle assembly disposed near the intersection of two of the perimeter legs of the instrument.

  • Patent number: 4821424
Abstract: The drafting instrument of the invention generally comprises an L-shaped integrally formed substantially planar construction having one long leg and one short leg disposed perpendicular to each other. The end of each of the legs of the instrument is inclined at an angle of 45 degrees relative to the outer edge of each leg, and the lengths of the legs of the instrument are proportioned such that complimentary 60 degree and 30 degree angles are formed between the edge of the short leg and the edge of the long leg, respectively, and a straight line intersecting the end point of each leg. The instrument includes a plurality of glide points extending outwardly from each face of the instrument to support the instrument slightly above the surface upon which it is used, and further includes a handle disposed near the intersection of the two legs of the instrument to aid in reversing the instrument from face to face during use.

  • Patent number: 4666221
Abstract: A cabinet with a plurality of stacked drawers has an outer frame and a plurality of first track members carried on opposed inner walls of the frame. Each first track member defines a pair of inwardly extending, spaced arms. A plurality of drawers carry at least one roller on each lateral side, with the rollers resting on an inwardly extending arm so that the rollers of each drawer roll along the arm in which they rest as the drawer is opened and closed. There are more drawers present than track members on either of the inner walls, which provide an economy of weight as well as improved function. Additionally, a novel drawer slide structure is shown in which the first track members may have at least one arm which defines a longitudinally extending, convex rib on which the drawer rollers travel, for improved operation over other designs.

  • Patent number: 4431153
Abstract: Apparatus for locking a drafting board in a desired attitude of angular adjustment enables adjustment of the drafting board through a full ninety degree movement. Force is selectively applied by a control system to interdigitating brake leaves to hold the drafting board surface from rotating once the desired angle has been achieved, and is selectively released to enable angular adjustment. Provision is made to adjust the control system of the apparatus responsive to the particular geometry of the drafting table.
