Abstract: An adjustable grinder, includes a container, a stator, a rotor, a drum, and a rotary slide. The container can hold a product to be ground. The stator is positioned on the container. The rotor is positioned opposite to the stator and can rotate with respect to the stator. The stator and the rotor each contain at least two rows of teeth to grind the product therebetween. The drum is positioned around the rotor. The rotary slide includes a pointer that can be adjusted such that a distance between the stator and the rotor increases or decreases. Additionally, the stator may include at least two extended teeth.

Abstract: A container especially adapted for dispensing food coloring includes a body including a neck with a nozzle including a skirt inserted into the body neck. The body neck and nozzle skirt together may have a plurality of beads to form an air and liquid (especially food coloring) tight seal. The nozzle includes a channel formed by substantially parallel walls including an orifice opening into the bottle at a first end of the channel, the orifice including a diameter of between 0.010 and 0.016 inches. The second end of the channel terminates in a flat nozzle tip for dispensing food coloring. The container provides an easy to use mess free dispenser with precise drop control and consistent drop size.
Abstract: Active encapsulation compositions which are stable in the glassy state at ambient temperatures are prepared by melt extrusion of a ternary carrier blend comprising of 1) a food polymer, 2) a spice or herb, and 3) a low molecular weight sugar or polyol. Such glassy matrices are useful for the encapsulation of encapsulates, in particular, flavors and medications.
Abstract: A multi-section lid for a can containing edible material includes a lid base, a cover portion, and a tear strip. The lid base can attach the lid to the can. The lid base defines one or more openings that permit access to the edible material. The cover portion includes one or more doors to cover the openings. The tear strip portion is positioned between the lid base and the cover portion. The tear strip portion is connected to the lid base and the cover portion by a plurality of bridges. The mold for forming the lid includes cavities that define flow channels that permit the lid material to flow through bridge cavities to fill the cavities in the mold during formation of the lid such that the lid base, the cover portion, and the tear strip portion are the single integral component.

Abstract: A closure includes a flip-top member including an elongated flange, a base member including a curved flange extending from the base member, and a hinge to connect the flip-top member and the base member. The base member has an opening therein. A portion of the elongated member is configured to reside within the opening when the closure is in a closed position.
