  • Patent number: 5938276
Abstract: A seat for a substantially cylindrically-shaped pail having a pail opening, a pail lip adjacent the opening, and a hollow compartment inside the pail is disclosed. The seat comprises a platform for seating a person when the seat is mounted on the pail and grooves formed by walls on opposite sides of the platform. The grooves fit on the pail lip when the seat is in use. The seat has a width substantially less than a diameter of the pail opening so that a person seated on the platform can reach between the platform and the pail lip to remove or insert hand tools. The seat also fits into the pail when not in use. The seat has ribs on its bottom side for strengthening purposes.

  • Patent number: 5501379
Abstract: A modular utility belt (10) comprises a belt (12) which can be worn around the waist of a person and at least one selectively removable belt attachment (14). The belt (12) includes a plurality of equally spaced belt apertures (30) extending therethrough. Each belt attachment (14) has a rear wall (32c) (34a) with rear apertures (40) extending therethrough, spaced about equally to the distance between two or more consecutive belt apertures (30). Selectively removable fasteners (18) extend through corresponding belt (30) and rear apertures (40) to securely hold the belt attachments (14) onto the belt (12). Additionally, outer attachments (16) can be removably attached to the belt attachment (14) with the removable fasteners (18). The belt attachments (14), (16) are interchangeable and can be easily and securely positioned at different locations on the belt (12) utilizing the removable fasteners (18).

  • Patent number: 4933231
Abstract: An abrasion and tear resistant, high strength composite laminated padded fabric material for use in the fabrication of tradesmen and craftsmen work items such as aprons and nail bags, tool pouches and tool holders, cordless tool holsters, belts and back support pads, knee pads and the like. The composite fabric material of the invention is a heat and pressure formed double laminate of like outer primary layers of tight-woven threads of high-tenacity nylon fibers and an intermediate padding layer of cross-linked, high-density, closed-cell or open-cell, flexible synthetic polymer foam. The composite laminated fabric material is formed by first bonding one of the outer nylon fabric layers to one side of the intermediate foam layer and thereafter bonding the other outer nylon fabric layers to the other side of the intermediate foam layer.

  • Patent number: 4821933
Abstract: A tape rule holder formed from two die cut flat pieces of heavy duty, top grain saddle leather. The back piece includes belt slots in its upper section. The front piece or pocket-forming member is configured in its flat pre-assembly form with peripheral side rivet areas and a bottom rivet area each defined by a fold line. Approximately mid-way of each side rivet area of the front piece is a "v" notch. Upon rivet assembly of the front pocket-forming piece to the back piece, with the front piece bowed outwardly to form a tape rule pocket and the "v" notches of the side rivet areas closed, the resulting tape rule pocket includes side walls using inwardly projecting pressure detent ridges which together grip a tape rule inserted into the pocket of the holder and maintain the tape rule therein against accidental dislodgement.
