Abstract: Certain perimidines are observed to be useful antiulcer agents in view of their activity as inhibitors of gastric acid secretion and ulcer formation. Among such antiulcer agents are novel 2-(R'-oxymethyl)-perimidine derivatives, wherein R.sup.1 is a member selected from the group consisting of benzoyl, carbamyl, N-loweralkylcarbamyl, and N,N-diloweralkylcarbamyl.

Abstract: Compounds of the class of 4-oxo-2-imidazolidinylidene ureas and 4-oxo-2-hexahydropyrimidinylidene ureas, useful as anti-secretory agents and central nervous system (CNS) depressants.
Abstract: Catalytic dehydrogenation of .DELTA.-2,.alpha.-pyrrolidenemalonates and .DELTA.-2,.alpha.-pyrrolidenemalononitriles yields pyrrole-2-acetates and pyrrole-2-acetonitriles, respectively. Subsequent hydrolysis of the latter affords pyrrole-2-acetic acids.
Abstract: The compounds are of the class of 5-aroyl-pyrrole alkanoic acids and corresponding acid derivatives thereof useful as anti-inflammatory agents and as synthetic intermediates.
