  • Patent number: 6168209
Abstract: A gas valve apparatus is configured to receive a gas specific adapter. The apparatus includes a gas valve body having a first end configured to be coupled to a gas connection and a second end. A keyed body is configured to receive the second end of the gas valve body. The keyed body has a first keying mechanism. The apparatus also includes a cap coupled to the keyed body. The cap includes a keyed front face having a gas outlet configured to receive the gas specific adapter. The cap also includes a second keying mechanism configured to mate with the first keying mechanism on the keyed body to permit the cap to be coupled to the keyed body.

  • Patent number: 5884661
Abstract: A swiveling fluid connector includes a flexible fluid conduit connected to a check valve mounted for rotation. The flexible fluid conduit is connected between the check valve and a stationary fluid conduit. The check valve is mounted for rotating considerably with respect to the stationary fluid conduit. The flexible fluid conduit flexes to allow for rotation of the check valve relative to the stationary fluid conduit, and maintains leak-tight communication between the check valve and the stationary fluid conduit. The check valve extends through an aperture in a plate mounted in a gas services unit. Flanges on opposite ends of the check valve cooperate with the opposite surfaces of the plate to retain the check valve in the aperture, yet allow rotation of the check valve. The rotation of the check valve is limited to an acceptable range by the cooperation between protrusions and stops. The protrusions are connected to and travel with the check valve.

  • Patent number: 5756933
Abstract: A universal bracket has affixed to it a raceway system, a three conduit gas rail sub-assembly, and high and low voltage electrical conductors. The raceway system includes various "knock outs" which permit access to the internal passageways of the system to facilitate installation of wiring and flow passageways. The gas rail sub-assembly may be mounted on the universal bracket in any one of two diverse orientations. In the preferred embodiment, the universal bracket is mounted on a vertical surface of a hospital room.

  • Patent number: 5618090
Abstract: The column has ceiling mounted gas and electrical conduits leading into a top portion of the column through a pipe. A double articulating arm permits moving of the column on a base supported by wheels through 340.degree. around the bed of a patient. A brake in the base prevents inadvertent movement of the column. A support arm mounted on the pipe below the double articulating arm supports a patient monitor. Front and rear vertical columns joined by horizontal members provide open access to patient service equipment including gas couplers and electrical outlets.
