    Abstract: A clip having a delivery shape and an implanted shape has a first and a second leg joined at their distal ends at a distal point of the clip. The distal point forms a tapered shape of the clip and is adapted to pierce tissue. Proximal ends of the first and second legs are spaced apart in the delivery shape by a first distance. The proximal ends are compressible to the implanted shape in which the legs are spaced apart by a second distance that is shorter than the first distance.
