  • Patent number: 6378710
Abstract: An adjustable shelving unit has a shelf support to which can be mounted one or more shelves. The shelf support has a slotted back panel and edge walls with laterally aligned notches. The shelf support fits through an opening between the bottom and a back cross-member of each shelf. Each shelf bottom has transverse openings in its back corners to accommodate the shelf support edge walls so that the shelf bottom engages the notches in the shelf support edge walls. The shelves are secured to the shelf support by engagement with the notches as well as by one or more tabs at the bottom of the shelf which fit into slots in the shelf support. The notches have upwardly canted upper surfaces allowing each shelf to be pulled outward and rotated upward to disengage the shelf from the shelf support so that it may then be removed or positioned to a different height. The shelves and shelf support are constructed by folding separate corrugated paperboard blanks.

  • Patent number: 6318589
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for dispensing scented coupons in a way that activates the scents as they are removed from a coupon dispenser. Incorporated into one section of the individual scented coupons is a microencapsulated scent. The dispenser comprises walls defining a cavity adapted to receive the stack of sheets, a rectangular flat top wall having an opening through which the sheets may be individually dispensed, a flat bottom wall having approximately the same dimensions as the flat top wall, with the flat bottom wall being approximately parallel to the flat top wall, and resilient means to push the stack of said sheets to the opening in the top wall of the dispenser. As individual, folded scented coupons are removed from the dispenser box, the coupon section having the microencapsulated scent is dragged across the scent release piece in the dispenser, thereby causing the microencapsules to break open allowing more of the scent of the coupons to be released.

  • Patent number: 6047853
Abstract: A 180.degree. stackable, nestable plastic tote box has ledge supports and foot supports with a combination of vertical and angled surfaces for guiding an upper box relative to a lower box to a stacked position and resisting the tendency of the upper box to collapse into the lower box when it is heavily loaded. The box also has orientation buttons received in recesses at its rim which give the box an easily visible asymmetric appearance. A drainage collector is molded into each box end wall which underlies a lid of the box and collects drainage from the lid to channel the drainage to the outside of the box, and is formed in walls which help support an upper box on a lower box when it is laterally slid onto it for stacking. The box can be provided with a one-piece lid or a two-piece hinged lid. The one-piece lid has wedge structures depending downwardly from its rim which snap into holes in the top of the box.
