Abstract: The invention relates to ecologically-acceptable agent for treating pathogenic germs on surfaces, instruments and in fluids, comprising synergistic mixtures of aromatic hydroxybenzoic acids and phenols with a broad spectrum of action. The above is active against hydrophilically-sheathed and -unsheathed viruses as well as lipophilic bacteria and yeasts and is thus applicable in medicine, industry and commercial animal raising.
