  • Patent number: 11530497
Abstract: A composite yarn comprising a continuous multifilament core yarn incorporated in a matrix is characterised in that the matrix comprises at least one polymer material and at least one reinforcing filler, the reinforcing filler being formed from functionalized particles, said particles having a median size (dv5o) of less than 40 ?m. A process for manufacturing such a composite yarn, comprises at least one step of depositing, by coating or extrusion, a matrix comprising a polymer and a reinforcing filler, onto a core yarn. A textile surface comprises at least one such composite yarn.

  • Patent number: 11268236
Abstract: The present invention provides an article, in particular for solar protection, comprising at least one metal-coating layer and a textile layer having an outside face comprising at least one polymer mixed with at least one plasticizer to form a first matrix. Advantageously, the bonding between said first matrix and the metal-coating layer is provided by an intermediate polymer layer comprising at least one coupling polymer, said coupling polymer being bonded by chemical bonds firstly to the first matrix and secondly to the metal-coating layer. The present invention also provides a method of fabricating such an article including a step of metal coating by depositing metal vapor under reduced pressure.

  • Patent number: 10378145
Abstract: The present invention provides a textile metallized on at least one of its faces comprising a textile layer of inorganic fibers and a metallic layer, the textile being characterized in that the connection between the textile layer and the metallic layer is provided by a polymeric intermediate layer formed by a matrix having at least one coupling polymer in which at least one flame retardant agent is distributed, said coupling polymer being bonded by chemical bonds firstly to the textile layer and secondly to the metallic layer. The present invention also provides the method of fabricating this metallized textile.

  • Patent number: 9920458
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of fabricating a yarn constituted by a multi-filament core coated in a polymer sheath. The sheath is made by depositing a miscible mixture of molten polymers on the multi-filament core, the mixture comprising: at least one flame-retarding agent; and at least two polymers that, in the molten state, do not establish mutual permanent chemical bonds, with one of the polymers, referred to as the co-flame-retarding polymer, presenting both a glass transition temperature that is significantly lower than the glass transition temperature of the other polymer, referred to as the base polymer, and also a melting temperature that is likewise significantly lower than the melting temperature of the base polymer; said deposition being followed by a cooling step during which the base polymer freezes first and the co-flame-retarding polymer migrates outwards entraining at least a fraction of the flame-retarding agent therewith.
