Abstract: A metal roof retrofit skylight preferably includes a glazing pane, a pane retention frame and at least one self-stick sealing sheet. The pane retention frame preferably includes a bottom leg and a top leg. One end of the bottom and top legs preferably form a fastening flange. The other end of the top is offset from the bottom leg to form a pane space that is sized to receive a thickness of the glazing pane. Each self-stick sealing sheet includes a sealing sheet and release paper. The sealing sheet is applied over a portion of the glazing pane and a membrane roofing material to provide a seal between the membrane roofing material and the glazing pane. An optional condensation collector is installed in a skylight opening in the metal roof. The metal roof retrofit skylight is attached to the metal roof around a perimeter of the skylight opening.

Abstract: A customizable ridge ventilator includes a first support bracket, a second support bracket, a perforated support and a ridge cover. The first and second support brackets are attached to a roof. The perforated support is secured to the first and second support brackets. The ridge cover is attached to the first support, the second support and the perforated support. A second embodiment includes a support bracket, a perforated support and a ridge cover. The support bracket is attached to a roof. The perforated support is attached to the support bracket and a back side of wall. The ridge cover is secured to the perforated support. A third embodiment includes a support bracket, a perforated support and a ridge cover. The support bracket is attached to a roof. The perforated support is attached to the support bracket. The ridge cover is attached to the perforated support bracket and a wall.

Abstract: A vented gutter system includes a gutter hanger and a ventilation strip. The gutter hanger preferably includes a lengthwise support, a plurality of hanger members and a plurality of mounting plates. Each hanger member includes a roof attachment leg and a fascia attachment member. Each mounting plate is attached to a single fascia attachment member. The plurality of hanger members are attached to the lengthwise support. The ventilation strip is secured to a bottom of the plurality of hanger members. A vented fascia system preferably includes a rear plate, a roof flange, at least two bracket spacers, a fascia plate and a ventilation strip. The roof flange is secured to one side of the bracket spacers and the rear plate is secured to the other side thereof. The ventilation strip is secured to the bracket spacers. The fascia plate is secured to the bracket spacers.

Abstract: A roof edging system for providing a functional and aesthetically pleasing appearance of a periphery of a building roof is provided. The system includes a rail positioned about an upper perimeter of a building. The rail is also constructed to sealingly engage a roofing membrane placed about the roof that is free of perforations. A cover or fascia engages the rail and is secured to the rail without fasteners. Such a construction provides a roof edging system, which can be quickly secured to a building and provides an exterior surface.

Abstract: A roof edging system includes an anchor bar, an extension cleat attachable to the anchor bar, and a cover plate applied over the anchor bar and extension cleat. The anchor bar may be of a generally uniform size and shape and the extension cleat may be of varying sizes. The anchor bar and extension cleat are secured to the exterior of the building using fasteners inserted through a number of apertures in each member. The engagement of the anchor bar with the roof provides a waterproof seal between a roofing membrane placed on the roof and the anchor bar. The extension cleat provides a means to vary the overall length of the assembly. A durable cover plate may then be attached over the anchor bar and extension cleat to provide an aesthetically pleasing appearance to the periphery of the roof of the building.

Abstract: A lighted roof edge assembly is provided. The roof edge assembly can be formed as a conventional coping or fascia assembly that includes a cover plate attachable to a roof edge through the use of an anchor member secured to the roof edge. The cover plate includes a channel in which is disposed a retainer. The retainer is releasably engageable with a lighting element that can be selectively switched on to illuminate the area of the structure to which the assembly is attached directly around the assembly.

Abstract: A roof edging system for providing an aesthetically pleasing appearance to the periphery of a building roof is provided. The system includes an anchor bar releasably engageable with an anchor cleat having any desired width. After the anchor bar and anchor cleat are engaged with one another, the anchor bar and anchor cleat are secured to the exterior of the building using fasteners inserted through a number of apertures in the anchor bar and anchor cleat. The engagement of the anchor bar with the roof provides a waterproof seal between a roofing membrane placed on the roof and the anchor bar. The first coping section includes an end and is mounted on the top of the wall to cover a first portion of a wall. The second coping section includes an end and is mounted on the top of the wall to cover a second portion of the wall. The second coping section is positioned in an end to end relationship with the first coping section and spaced from the first coping section. The splice plate is positioned beneath a portion of the first and second coping sections and includes a portion that extends between the first and second coping sections. The portion of the splice plate includes a formed groove that has the appearance of a mortar reveal.

The first and second anchor bars are mounted to a vertical surface of an edge of a roof. The first anchor bar includes a first end, and the second anchor bar includes a second end that is adjacent to the first end of the first anchor bar. The anchor bar splice is positioned between the first end of the first anchor bar and the second end of the second anchor bar for preventing the passage of water between the first and second anchor bars. The anchor bar splice includes a resilient shell that defines a cavity and a foam core within the cavity.

Abstract: A fascia assembly for securing a rubber membrane against the surface of a roof, the fascia comprising a rigid base plate including a generally planar vertical portion adapted to be secured to the generally vertical edge portion of the roof and to clampingly engage a portion of the rubber membrane to secure the rubber membrane against the vertical edge portion of the roof, and including a generally planar horizontal portion adapted to engage a portion of the membrane supported by the upper surface of the roof adjacent the edge and to secure the membrane against the upper surface of the roof. The fascia assembly further includes a cover plate for providing a decorative cover over the base plate, and a spring clip for supporting the cover plate relative to the base plate. The base plate, cover plate and spring clip being fabricated from bended sheet metal blanks.

Abstract: A coping assembly including an anchor bar adapted to be secured to a forward face of a wall, the anchor bar being an elongated plate adapted to extend along the length of the forward face of the wall, and a coping having an inverted channel configuration and including a top portion adapted to cover the top surface of the wall, the forward face of the coping including a lower edge portion engaging the elongated lower edge of the anchor bar, and a forward portion of the top of the coping being supported by the elongated upper edge of the anchor bar. The coping assembly also includes support cleats adapted to be secured by fasteners to the top of the wall, the support cleats including a generally horizontal portion adapted to be supported by the top of the wall, an upwardly inclined forward portion extending upwardly and forwardly and engaging a flange of the anchor bar.

Abstract: A roof edging mechanism is shown as comprising a dam means adapted to be secured to the edge of the roof and to support a waterproof membrane, the dam means including an inclined portion having a lower edge engaging the roof and an upper edge, and a vertical portion having an upper edge connected to the edge of the inclined portion and a lower edge. The roof edging mechanism also includes a snap-on cap for covering at least a portion of the dam and for clamping the membrane against the dam. The snap-on cap includes a vertical portion adapted to overlie the vertical portion of the dam means, the vertical portion having a lower edge including means adapted to engage the lower edge of the vertical dam portion.
