  • Patent number: 10007875
Abstract: A point-of-sale security activation card is provided. The card includes first and second card panels, a security element selectively interposed between the card panels, and machine readable content carried by either or both of the card panels. An inside panel surface of the first card panel is characterized by a revealable information field comprised of revealable information. The second card panel includes a tab, the tab overlying an end portion of the revealable information field of the first card panel. The security element includes a body, and a head extending therefrom. The head underlies the tab of the second card panel, the body overlying a substantial portion of the revealable information and intersecting with the machine readable content. Manipulation of the tab in furtherance of revealing the revealable information results in corruption of the machine readable content by the security element.

  • Patent number: 9881441
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining sweepstakes winners involve a display providing a code to an end-user device and the end user-device providing the displayed code to a computer, which determines whether the displayed code is a winning code. Whether a code is a winning code can be based on a variable factor, such as a geographic location, a date, a time of day, a day of a week, a number of submissions by a particular person, valued activities performed by a particular person. The identification of a code as a winning code can be performed either before the code is provided to the display or after the code is received by the computer.

  • Patent number: 9082324
Abstract: A device for securing a sign to a mullion is provided. The device includes first and second body portions, and a tensioner operatively uniting same. The first body portion is characterized by adjacent mullion receiving elements and a sign support structure. A first mullion receiving element includes a substantially planar member receivable adjacent a mullion face. A second mullion receiving element extends from the first mullion receiving element for tensioned engagement with a first lateral mullion surface of opposingly paired lateral mullion surfaces adjacent the mullion face. The sign support structure is spaced apart and extends from the first mullion receiving element so as to thereby delimit a channel passing between the sign support structure and the first mullion receiving element.

  • Publication number: 20100268654
Abstract: A subset of unique codes are generated from a set of codes. The subset of codes are stored in a database on a secure server and each of the codes is marked on a corresponding instantiation of the product. The marked instantiations are distributed. During their distribution, the marked instantiations are verified for authenticity and for routing. This verification is performed by reading or scanning the codes on the instantiations, and transmitting that information to the secure server for comparison against the codes and other information located in the database contained therein.
