Abstract: A watch band is provided which provides a retention assembly for securing excess material of the watch band after the watch band has been secured. The watch band has first and second end portions. The first end portion has a plurality of aperture provided therethrough. The second end portion has a buckle, which has a prong, secured thereto at a free end thereof. The second end portion further has a keeper secured thereto distal from the free end thereof. The retention assembly has first and second portions which are configured to interlock with one another. The first portion of the retention assembly is associated with the second end portion proximate the keeper, and the second portion of the retention assembly is associated with the first end portion between the plurality of apertures and a free end of the first end portion.
