Abstract: A method of determining cell membrane strength is disclosed, using focused light of selected frequency and energy density. The method is also useful in diagnosing the presence of certain diseases in cells, by comparing the membrane strength of cells exposed to cell-characteristic altering drugs to the membrane strength of a control group of cells.
