  • Patent number: 8657593
Abstract: The present invention is aimed at providing a sintered magnet production system that can prevent the influences of a leaking magnetic field in an orienting process. A sintered magnet production system according to the present invention has a filling means 11 for filling an alloy powder into a filling/sintering container, a sintering means 13 for sintering the alloy powder, and an orienting means 12 with an air-core coil for producing a magnetic field for orienting the alloy powder in the filling/sintering container after the filling process and before the sintering process, the axis of the air-core coil being displaced from a straight line connecting the filling means 11 and the sintering means 13. The magnetic field leaking from the orienting means 12 is strongest on the extended line of the axis of the air-core coil and relatively weak in the direction perpendicular to the extended line.

  • Patent number: 8488344
Abstract: In a conventional electrical power conversion apparatus, a control microprocessor performs a control for eliminating or curbing a beat phenomenon, so that a control delay occurs because computing time is required in the control microprocessor. Because of the control delay, it is not possible to obtain an effect of sufficiently reducing a current ripple and torque pulsation. In addition, in an electric train in which a frequency of an AC power source is changed over while the train is running, it is required for a method of detecting a ripple component by a band-pass filter that a plurality of band-pass filters are provided and then the changeover is performed depending on the power source frequency, resulting in difficulties to take countermeasures.

  • Patent number: 8395037
Abstract: Fullerene inhibited the decrease in cell proliferation ability of chondrocytes which is observed when cultured chondrocytes are treated with a cartilage degenerating factor (IL-1? or H2O2). Fullerene inhibited production of cartilage matrix-degrading enzymes (matrix metalloprotease (MMP)-1, 3 and 13) which is induced in cultured chondrocytes by cartilage degenerating factors. Fullerene restored the decrease in cartilage matrix (proteoglycan) synthesizing ability which is observed in treating cultured chondrocytes with cartilage degenerating factors. In an analysis using an osteoarthritis rabbit model, the progress of cartilage degeneration was reduced by administering fullerene. Moreover, the dynamic friction coefficient was decreased by adding fullerene to synovial fluid.

  • Publication number: 20110070118
Abstract: A mold which is inexpensive and easy to process and does not embrittle. Also provided is a process by which a sintered. NdFeB magnet can be produced using the mold without suffering bending or deformation. At least part (e.g., a bottom plate) of the mold is made of a carbon material. Carbon materials have lower friction with a sinter during sintering than metals. The mold hence enables a sintered NdFeB magnet to be produced without suffering the bending or deformation caused by friction due to sintering shrinkage. Carbon materials are inexpensive and easy to process. The mold does not embrittle even when repeatedly used. Such effects can be significantly produced when a carbon material is used as the bottom plate, on which the load of the sinter is imposed during sintering.

  • Publication number: 20110038019
Abstract: An image reading apparatus includes a light source, an imaging optics system, an image pickup device unit, a memory, and a processor. The imaging optics system condenses scattered light reflected on an object to be imaged to form condensed light as an image. The imaging optics system includes plural cells arranged in a main scanning direction and each of which is an independent imaging optics system. Each of the cells includes a telecentric optics system at the document side. Two rows of cells are arranged in a sub-scanning direction. The cells in the rows are arranged zigzag in the main scanning direction to complement a formed image by the cells in the sub-scanning direction. The image pickup device unit is arranged to correspond to each cell. The processor can form a document image by reconstructing and combining image information stored in the memory into an image.
