  • Patent number: 6871578
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a high-pressure fuel supply apparatus, in which the durability of the fuel sealing section is improved and additionally the evaluation time is reduced. The high-pressure fuel supply apparatus comprises a piston having a plunger supported slidably within a cylinder and a tappet, a casing for preventing the fuel leaking out of the space between the cylinder and the piston from leaking outside by surrounding substantially the cylinder and the piston, and a sealing means for sealing the space between the casing and the piston, wherein the sealing means is fastened to the casing and brought into a slidable contact with the tappet of the piston.

  • Patent number: 6181192
Abstract: A constant voltage circuit having excellent temperature characteristics at a wide temperature range. Temperature characteristics control means constructed by connecting a voltage dividing circuit formed by connecting fixed resistors in series to a diode in parallel is provided between a fixed resistor and a Zener diode having a positive temperature coefficient of a bridge circuit, and the output of a connection point between the fixed resistors of the temperature characteristics control means is applied to the non-inversion input terminal of a differential amplifier to correct the temperature change of the Zener diode.

  • Patent number: 6170446
Abstract: A valve timing control system for an internal combustion engine, which precisely learns the maximum retard position thus making fine valve timing control possible. The control system includes a learning unit for learning a phase difference between the cam angle and the crank angle when a valve overlap between an intake valve and an exhaust valve is at a minimum, a learning instructions transmitting unit for transmitting to the learning unit, a learning instruction for learning the phase difference between the crank angle and the cam angle, and a valve timing control variable calculating unit for calculating a valve timing control variable, for varying the valve timing, on the basis of a deviation between the learned value and the present phase difference between the crank angle and the cam angle. The learning instruction transmitting unit is used only before shipment of a motor vehicle equipped with the internal combustion engine or upon mechanical inspection thereof.

  • Patent number: 5548652
Abstract: A silencing apparatus for effectively reducing noises in the three dimension space which detects physical characteristics of the noise source by the laser doppler sensor unit during the noise source comes close to the telephone booth, and collects acoustic characteristics of the noise source by the sensor microphone array. The control portion generates an inverse-phased signal against the noise source so that the noises are decreased at the error sensor, and stores the noise source information (physical characteristics and the acoustic characteristics) and the generated inverse-phased signal. When the same noise source come closely, the voice is generated from the speaker using the inverse-phased signal stored in the memory. The control potion generates an inverse-phased voice from the speaker when the collected noise by the sensor microphone is actually over a certain threshold level.
