Abstract: Apparatus for clamping an overhung rolling disc on a drive shaft by compressive stress between plane parallel surfaces, whereby a hydraulically expansible tie-rod is inserted in the hollow drive shaft for producing the compressive stress, the tightening nut of which tie-rod is located opposite the outer end face of the rolling disc for transmitting the compressive force, wherein the tightening nut is seated on a bayonet ring provided with an external screw-thread, the bayonet ring with the tightening nut is supported by a bayonet nut, which is in turn screwed on a threaded end of the tie-rod and a taper sleeve is inserted between the rolling disc and drive shaft, the free outer end face of which taper sleeve is located opposite an end face of the bayonet ring and is constructed for the attachment of extraction claws.

Abstract: Straightening apparatus as a frame with upper and lower horizontal supports extending between uprights. Straightening roll units are mounted in cooperative relationship on these supports and are capable of sliding movement therealong. The upper straightening rolls are vertically fixed while the lower rolls are vertically adjustable to alter the rolling gap. Tension members interconnect the upper roll units and the lower support.

Abstract: An entry rollerway for a cooling bed for elongate rolled stock in which all parts necessary for guiding and laterally ejecting the rods are carried by lantern-shaped cast members which also constitute the bearings for the rollerway rollers, so that the long support structure or the frame-like understructure previously used in entry rollerways is avoided.

Abstract: Apparatus for rapidly changing the straightening rollers of a roller straightening machine for rolled bars or profiles comprises a linearly and pivotally displaceable support device provided with rotatable transfer shafts which can be moved in line with the roller axes of the machine; withdrawal bayonet rings which are axially displaceable on the transfer shafts and which are lockingly engageable with bayonet rings secured to the straightening rollers are arranged to pull the rollers onto the transfer shafts, and vice versa.

Abstract: A wire rod coiler for large bundles or coils has a vertically displaceable coiler plate and support structures outwardly limiting the coiling or reeling space. Each support structure guides a flexible member, such as an endless link chain, which is in driven engagement with the coiler plate and which in operation supports outer windings of a bundle or coil being produced to prevent such windings from adhering to the support structures.
