Patent number: 11655978Abstract: A high turn down ratio flare tip assembly, that allows for both low and high flowrate and pressure flows using a single flare. The flare assembly comprising a nozzle tube connected to the waste stream fuel inlet at one end. The other end of the flare tip assembly providing a seat for a conical structure with flow through orifices/ports that allow the waste stream to flow therethrough during low pressure operation. The conical structure connected to one end of a connecting rod, the connecting rod extending longitudinally downward through the nozzle tube and connected to a spring assembly. The flare tip assembly is designed to allow low flow and pressure to pass through the cone orifices, and during high flow and pressure operation, the cone is unseated from the nozzle tube, allowing the waste stream to flow therethrough. The flare tip assembly also includes a slotted/holed shroud that allows for smokeless combustion of the waste stream during high flow and pressure conditions.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2019Date of Patent: May 23, 2023Assignee: MONEYHUN EQUIPMENT SALES & SERVICES CO.Inventors: Jesse S. Chambers, Simon Scott Fuentes, Jack A. Smith, Sammie Jo Van Grinsven, Zhili Qin

Patent number: 11566501Abstract: A natural gas conditioning system for conditioning unconditioned natural gas for use in a gas lift system at a wellbore comprises a series of coolers to receive and cool unconditioned natural gas, and a high-pressure, three-phase separator. The separator receives cooled unconditioned natural gas from the coolers and results in separate flows of conditioned lift gas, waste water and hydro-carbon liquids. The conditioned lift gas can be directed to a first heat exchanger, and the hydro-carbon liquids can be directed to a second heat exchanger. A chiller can be coupled to a third heat exchanger. All the components can be carried by a skid.Type: GrantFiled: June 25, 2020Date of Patent: January 31, 2023Assignee: Moneyhun Equipment Sales & Service Co., Inc.Inventors: David Moneyhun, Bernie Claydon

Patent number: 11414966Abstract: A lift gas treatment system and method for treating lift gas by a high-pressure separation of heavy hydrocarbons and water from the gas stream to be used as lift gas. The system and method first remove water from the lift gas in a first separator. The lift gas is then cooled in a pair of heat exchangers. A second separator separates natural gas liquids (NGLs) from the lift gas. The NGLs are passed through a valve to reduce the temperature and passed to the second heat exchanger. The lift gas is passed through the first heat exchanger to raise the temperature.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 2021Date of Patent: August 16, 2022Assignee: MONEYHUN EQUIPMENT SALES & SERVICE CO., INC.Inventors: David Moneyhun, Bernie Claydon, Evan Visser

Patent number: 8550812Abstract: An off-gas flare system for disposing of a waste gas stream containing BTEX and VOC contaminants, and for safely handling slugs of excess liquids entrained in the waste gas stream. The flare system includes a flare stack, an enclosed steam tank disposed within the flare stack for receiving the waste gas stream and vaporizing any liquids in the waste gas stream into vapors, and an enclosed liquid tank disposed below the steam tank and in fluid communication with the steam tank for receiving the heated waste gas and liquid vapors and for temporarily containing any excess non-vaporized liquids. The flare also includes a waste gas burner disposed in the flare stack adjacent the steam tank and in fluid communication with the liquid tank, and a continuous means for igniting the waste gas burner.Type: GrantFiled: October 8, 2010Date of Patent: October 8, 2013Assignee: Moneyhun Equipment Sales & Service Co., Inc.Inventors: David H. Moneyhun, Robert C. Nigro, David W. Nichols
