  • Publication number: 20200139743
Abstract: A system is capable of generating identifications that include distinctive line patterns corresponding to different portions of secure customer information. In some implementations, data indicating one or more linear patterns and data indicating customer information to be embedded within an identification document is obtained. Respective subsets of the customer information are assigned to each of the one or more linear patterns. A photographic image to be included within the identification document is then modified based at least on generating a portion of the photographic image that is composed of at least one of the one or more linear patterns. The modified photographic image is then disposed on an identification document to yield embedded customer information.

  • Patent number: 10439815
Abstract: In general, one innovative aspect of the subject matter described in this specification may be embodied in methods that may include validating user data pages extracted from a digital identification in circumstances where a user device that includes the digital identification is either unavailable or presently lacks network connectivity. For instance, an authorized device may be used to extract user data pages from the digital identification by either exchanging communications with the user device using a proximity-based data exchange protocol, or by using a physical identification card to identify the digital identification on a user record. The user data pages may then be validated by comparing checksums associated with user data pages against the checksums within the user record, and decrypting the user data pages using a decryption key that is variably designated by a security status assigned to the digital identification.

  • Patent number: 10432618
Abstract: In general, one innovative aspect of the subject matter described in this specification may be embodied in methods that may include verifying a digital identification using embedded encrypted user credential data that is not viewable to human eyes within the digital identification. For instance, the embedded encrypted user credential data may be variably encrypted by an encryption key that is designated by a security status assigned to the digital identification. The embedded encrypted user credential data may be extracted using an authorized device and decrypted using a decryption key that is associated with the encryption key designated by the security status. The decrypted user credential data may then be used to verify user information included in the digital identification.

  • Patent number: 10363768
Abstract: A multilayer laminate identification document including an outer layer having a contoured surface image formed therein via laser ablation. The contoured surface image has contours based on a digital monochrome image, and has a first appearance when viewed in reflected light at a first angle and a second, different appearance when viewed in reflected light at a second, different angle. The multilayer laminate identification document is formed by generating a second digital monochrome image with continuous pixel patterns from a first digital monochrome image, and irradiating the surface of the identification document with a laser using the second digital monochrome image as a guide to form a contoured surface image in the surface of the identification document.

  • Patent number: 10332191
Abstract: A steganographic-based ordering system and method using a digital identification (ID) are described. A user may obtain a digital ID card on a user device and select modes for interacting with the vendor. Using the digital ID, the user can create a personal profile that indicates the user's preferences, and place an order for an item (e.g., a product or service) through the digital ID. The order may be steganographically-embedded along with user data within the digital ID. The digital ID including the steganographically-em bedded order is transmitted to a digital ID reader located at the vendor. When completing an order for the user, the digital ID reader may de-embed user and order data from the received digital ID to obtain information about the user and provide more personalized service to complete the order.

  • Patent number: 10315452
Abstract: A forensic feature for a secure document comprises a base document layer and a covert material applied to the base document layer. The covert material includes a carrier and forensic material within the carrier. The forensic material includes a ratio of salts or oxides of metals, such as rare earth metals. The ratio is selected to correspond with a source of the document. The forensic material may be mixed into a coating or ink that is applied at predetermined locations on a secure document. The ratio is then measurable from metal ion signals of the salts or oxides. This ratio, or some metric derived from it, may be linked with information embedded elsewhere in the document to enable verification of the document. Another forensic document feature has a forensic metric that is measurable from a covert material in the document, and this forensic metric corresponds to a source of the document.
