  • Patent number: 11972724
Abstract: A method for an electronic device merges a subset of display brightness and corresponding ambient light value pairs selected from a brightness adjustment model and one or more user defined display brightness and corresponding ambient light value pairs received from user input occurring at a user interface of the electronic device to obtain a merged brightness adjustment model dataset. The method filters the merged brightness adjustment model dataset to obtain a filtered brightness adjustment model dataset and extracts a merged brightness adjustment model from the filtered brightness adjustment model dataset. One or more processors of the electronic device control a display brightness of a display of the electronic device using the merged brightness adjustment model.

  • Patent number: 11971743
Abstract: A deformable electronic device includes a flexible display, one or more sensors, at least one imager, and one or more processors. The one or more sensors detect deformation of the deformable electronic device. The at least one imager, which is disposed beneath the flexible display, captures one or more images of an identifiable marker of the flexible display in response to the one or more sensors detecting the deformation of the deformable electronic device. The one or more processors estimate an amount of the deformation of the deformable electronic device as a function of how far the identifiable marker of the flexible display translates across the at least one imager during the deformation of the deformable electronic device.

  • Publication number: 20240134733
Abstract: An error incident is determined to have occurred on an electronic device. Responsive to the error incident, a remote error logging system is queried for reports of the error incident by one or more additional electronic devices. The error incident is determined to have or have not been reported by the one or more additional electronic devices. A report of the error incident is transmitted to the remote error logging system based on the determination. An adjustment to the electronic device is applied to resolve the error incident. The adjustment is, for example, an amendment to the behavior of a component of the electronic device where the error incident occurred.

  • Publication number: 20240121515
Abstract: A computing device includes digital imaging functionality that captures images digitally using any of a variety of different technologies. The computing device receives an indication of, or determines, a physical location of a tag within a field of view of an image capture module and associates that physical location with a region of interest in the field of view. The tag is a device that transmits and receives signals allowing one or more other devices to determine the physical location of the tag, such as an ultra-wideband tag. The computing device also includes a parameter generation system that automatically generates, based at least in part on the region of interest associated with the physical location of the tag, one or more parameters for capturing a digital image. These parameters include, for example, an exposure setting, a white balance setting, and a focus setting.

  • Publication number: 20240112375
Abstract: Techniques for personalized digital content generation are described and are implementable to generate digital content based on content that depicts a scene from one or more locations and content that depicts one or more individuals. The described implementations, for instance, enable generation of a personalized photo album for a user depicting the user at the one or more locations. The described implementations further enable generation of an itinerary including personalized digital content. In an example, an input including a location is received. Environment content is generated that depicts a scene of the location. User content is generated that includes a representation of one or more individuals. Personalized content is then generated by incorporating the representation of the one or more individuals into the scene, and the personalized content is output for display. The personalized content is further usable to generate a personalized itinerary for a user.

  • Publication number: 20240114206
Abstract: In aspects of variable concurrent access to content of a device by multiple devices, content of a primary device is detected as being accessed concurrently by a primary user via the primary device and by a secondary user via a secondary device communicatively coupled to the primary device. Unrestricted access to the content of the primary device is provided to the primary device and restricted access to the content of the primary device is provided to the secondary device. The restricted access prevents the secondary user from accessing a subset of the content of the primary device. A first portion of the content of the primary device is output via the primary device. Further, a second portion of the content of the primary device is caused to be output by the secondary device while the primary device outputs the first portion of the content.

  • Publication number: 20240112464
Abstract: In aspects of display photo update recommendations, a catalyst is identified for updating a display photo of a user on a social media website. Further, a first collection of photos that are associated with the catalyst are retrieved from a photo gallery maintained in memory of a computing device. Using a machine learning model trained on a second collection of display photos utilized by connections of the user on the social media website, one or criteria are determined for display photos. Moreover, candidate display photos that satisfy the one or more criteria are identified from the first collection of photos and output to the photo gallery.
