  • Patent number: 5233145
Abstract: Pouring receptacle for infusion, adapted to be placed in a microwave oven and comprising a body (1) to which is secured a handle (2) by an encircling band (3), the body (1) and the handle (2) being of a material transparent to microwaves. The encircling band (3) clamps a portion (4, 16) of the handle (2) to the body (1) and is of a material having a coefficient of expansion near that of the body, transparent to microwaves and resistant to deformation during successive thermal cycles. The band is a structure reinforced by fibers. The fibers can be applied by winding from a spool, or the band (3) can be molded and heated to expand it so it slips over the body (1) and cools and contracts to grip the body (1) firmly.

  • Patent number: 5181328
Abstract: A hair dryer comprises a housing (1) of which one portion comprises a mounting for securement on a wall (P), and which contains a hot air generator group (3-4) controlled by a switch (5) and adapted to establish a current of air between an air inlet opening (6) and a hot air outlet opening (7). The hot air outlet opening receives a connector (8) secured to a flexible tube (9) provided with a drying nozzle (10) which can be brought, either into a retracted or rest position in which the switch is open, or into a use position in which the switch is closed. The connector (8) is rotatably movably mounted on the air outlet opening (7), and comprises an actuator (14) for the switch (5) such that the movement of the nozzle (10) from its retracted or rest position to its use position brings, by transmission of the movement of the nozzle to the connector by the flexible tube, the switch into its closed position, and vice versa.

  • Patent number: 5162628
Abstract: Support for a spit (1) mounted on a drippings pan (2) and comprising two opposite supports (3) each insulated from the drippings pan by an insulating base (5) comprising a head (7) that rests on a margin (8) of the drippings pan. At least one foot (9, 10) passes through a corresponding opening (12, 13) of the drippings pan. Each opening comprises a skirt (14), and the height (h) and the section (s1, s2) of the foot are dimensioned as a function of the section (a1, a2) of the opening such that, during swinging of the support about a horizontal axis (15-16-17) by pressing of the head on the margin of the drippings pan, a region (19-20-21) of the foot opposite that axis will come to bear against the skirt, thereby preventing the foot from leaving the opening. Application to ovens with combined microwave and resistance heating.

  • Patent number: 5150645
Abstract: A filter holder designed for use with a coffee machine of the "espresso" type comprises a receptacle for receiving a perforated filter cup. The filter cup and the receptacle together define an infusion collecting chamber underlying the filter cup. The infusion collecting chamber communicates via an outlet with a distributing funnel extending downardly from the receptacle. At the opening of the outlet channel there is disposed the free end of a flexible blade extending transversely of the channel. The free end of the flexible blade is applied with a predetermined force against the opening of the channel such that the infusion discharged from the outlet channel emanates in a laminar flow and is atomized upon contact with a partition surrounding the free end of the blade, to produce a substantial quantity of foam.
