Abstract: An inflatable down hole bag includes an inflatable body for holding an inflation fluid and a container for holding one or more substances. The container is disposed inside of the inflatable body and includes a closure for keeping the one or more substances in the container when the closure is in an inoperative state. The closure also releases the one or more substances from the container when the closure is in an operative state. Release of a substance causes an inflation fluid producing reaction within the inflatable body, thereby inflating the inflatable body. The container includes at least two separated chambers. Each chamber holds a respective one of the substances. The closure includes a stopper for closing a respective opening to one of the chambers. The closure further includes an actuator for removing each stopper from the respective opening so as to release each substance from each respective chamber.
Abstract: An apparatus for lining a blast hole comprises a tube of thermoplastic material and a welder for welding the tube, wherein an end of the tube can be welded closed by the welder and the desired length of tube can be dispensed and cut free from the rest of the tube when the closed end is at least part way inside the blast hole. There is also a method of lining a blast hole which comprises welding closed an end of a tube of thermoplastic material; placing the closed end in the blast hole and allowing it to descend into the hole; dispensing a desired length of tube; and cutting free the length of tube from the rest of the tube.
Abstract: A composite thermoplastic liner for use as a moisture barrier comprises a hollow tubular body made from a woven composite thermoplastic material configured to substantially block the ingress of moisture; and an opening at one end of the hollow tubular body for intake into the hollow of the hollow tubular body. In one aspect a welded closed opposite end forms a base configured to substantially block the ingress of moisture external to the hollow tubular body. In another aspect the woven composite thermoplastic material comprises an electrically conductive additive. In another aspect there is a gusset in at least one side of the hollow tubular body. The hollow tubular body is able to be flattened with the respective gussets formed from folds of the hollow tubular body, such that in the flattened state the tube is more readily stored in a narrow form, but is expandable when the gusset is unfolded.
Abstract: An indicator comprises a first portion having a first temperature sensitive indicia arranged so as to provide an ongoing visible indication that the aerosol can has reached a predetermined temperature and a second temperature sensitive indicia arranged so as to provide a visible indication when the aerosol reaches a different predetermined temperature. There is also a dangerous item that comprises a temperature sensitive indicia arranged on the item so as to provide a visible indication when the item reaches a predetermined temperature.
