Patents Assigned to Mycro-Group Company
  • Patent number: 4811181
Abstract: A bi-directional joint and mounting means for allowing tiltable and pivotal movement of a lighting fixture on opposite sides of a mounting structure. A base member is pivotally securable to the mounting structure around a first axis. A joint member is rigidly secured and extends from the base member and includes a hinge which allows the joint member to pivot with respect to a second axis which is generally perpendicular to the first axis. The first and second brackets are associated with the light fixture and the base member, respectively, and allow adjustable attachment of an adjustment member or actuator member to different locations depending which side of the mounting structure the lighting fixture is desired to be positioned, and adjusted.

  • Patent number: 4725934
Abstract: A glare control lamp and reflector assembly and method for glare control which includes a conventional lamp and symmetrical reflector for providing a controlled light beam to a target area. A reflector shield can be positioned on the reflector below the lamp and has the properties of diverging incident light downwardly towards the target area and thus controls reflection upwardly which would produce glare. A glare shield can be positioned on the top of the reflector and extends outwardly from the outer edge of the reflector to block both direct light and reflected light from traveling upwardly and outwardly which would produce glare. In a further combination, a lamp shield can be positioned over a portion of the outermost extending end of the lamp to prevent unreflected light from directly causing glare.

  • Patent number: 4450507
Abstract: A method of producing a composite beam of uniform light from a plurality of defined beam, high-intensity, luminaires mounted on a luminaire assembly, adapted for use with a mobile mounting pole. By determining the characteristics of the defined beam produced by each luminaire, the area to be lighted, and the placement and number of luminaires to be used, the individual luminaire fixtures can be aligned to form a composite photometric beam, meeting the predetermined lighting requirements. The luminaire assembly is adjustably designed as a composite unit for a mathematically derived model of light energy configuration required to illuminate various shaped and sized target areas, such as football fields, etc.

  • Patent number: 4423471
Abstract: A mobile lighting unit which includes a plurality of lighting fixtures, each utilizing high-wattage, high-intensity lamps. The fixtures comprise a socket and hemispherical reflector assembly which are vertically and horizontally adjustably mounted to a lighting rack by an adjustable elbow member. The lamps are positioned in said fixtures so that their longitudinal axis is parallel to the light beam formed by the reflector, requiring one end of the lamp to be inserted in the socket and the other end to extend to the center of the hemispherical reflector. The lamps are cooled by pressurized air produced by a fan and transported through air tight channels in the lighting rack. The lamps are shock-dampened by mounting their socket end to a metal spring located on the interior wall of the socket and by attaching wires to the front end of the lamp, which are in turn attached to metal springs on the interior surface of the reflector. Thus, the lamp is fully shock absorber protected.
