Abstract: Mixing device for powdered, granular and/or paste materials, having a conical mixing tank (1) with vertical axis which narrows towards the bottom, and in said mixing tank at least one mixing screw (2), which through drive units disposed outside the mixing tank (1), by means of a transmission arm (15) to be rotated in a horizontal plane, can rotate about its own axis and can revolve along the wall of the mixing tank, the shaft of the mixing screw (2) at the top end being provided with a gear wheel (3) which meshes with a gear wheel (4) with vertical shaft, which has a smaller diameter than the gear wheel (3) on the mixing screw (2) whereby the gear wheel (4) with vertical shaft is connected by means of a belt connection (7) or the like in the arm (15) to a central vertical shaft (9) which by means of a reducing transmission (10, 11, 12) is coupled to the drive unit (13) for rotation of the mixing screw (2).

Abstract: A processing apparatus for viscous materials comprises a vertically disposed annular space. The materials to be processed are fed in at the bottom of the annular space and the processed materials are removed at the top. A vertically disposed rotating shaft and a multiplicity of essentially radial arms which are attached to the shaft and to the ends of which vertical components are attached. The vertical components travel around in the annular space as the shaft rotates, so that the inlet of the materials to be processed debouches tangentially into an annular chamber beneath the annular space. The width of the annular chamber is greater than the width of the inlet and is greater that the width of the annular space.

Abstract: Equipment for continuously coagulating preferably preacidified milk for preparing yoghurt, provided with means for keeping the milk at a desired temperature during coagulation, with means for feeding in the milk and with means for discharging the yoghurt, whereby the equipment consists of an essentially closed housing containing an endless conveyor belt on which containers of the paternoster-lift type are suspended, provided with means for advancing the conveyor belt at uniform velocity in the housing at a velocity such that each container remains for a desired time in the housing, and with means for stopping each container stepwise outside the housing during filling and during emptying.

Abstract: A mixing device comprising a vessel and an agitator extending into the vessel in which the vessel is hermetically sealed from the atmosphere by a flexible member detachably connected with the wall and the agitator shaft. Means are provided to maintain the agitator shaft in a fixed angular position during the stirring operation.
