Patent number: 5369895Abstract: The invention relates to a plastic shoe with improved ventilation, in which the ventilation openings 7 located in the vamp area 6 of the shoe upper 5 are connected with one another by having their orifices located on the inside of the shoe upper 5 in a bulging out part 8. An additional arcuate chamber 9 is formed by the bulging out part 8 and is limited by the adjacent not bulging out part of the wall surface, which is dedicated, in connection with the ventilation openings 7, to a predetermined degree of good ventilation of the shoe in the area of the instep of the foot.(The reference numbers are those shown in FIG. 2.Type: GrantFiled: February 26, 1992Date of Patent: December 6, 1994Assignee: NATEC Institut fur naturwissenschaftlichtechnische DiensteInventor: Winrich Hammerschmidt

Patent number: 4751924Abstract: The invention relates to a balloon catheter, particularly an endotracheal theter, with a catheter tube of elastic, tissue-compatible material, in which the signal balloon (6) near the proximal end (3) of catheter tube (1) and the retention sleeve (4) near the distal end (2) of catheter tube (1) are present in a foil hose (15), extending over the entire length of the catheter tube, sheathing the catheter, and they are preformed in the hose in one piece. Foil hose (15) engages loosely on the catheter tube at the points of signal balloon (6) and retention sleeve (4), and is otherwise connected tightly with the catheter tube. Feed tube (5) connecting retention sleeve (4) with signal balloon (6) and the proximal end of the catheter tube can be formed by one or more grooves (14) in the outside wall of respirator tube (1), and the foil hose (15) covers the grooves to seal them gas- and liquid-tight from the outside.Type: GrantFiled: July 9, 1984Date of Patent: June 21, 1988Assignee: NATEC, Institut fur naturwissen-schaftlichtechnische Dienste GmbHInventors: Winrich Hammerschmidt, Gerhard Zumbruch

Patent number: 4505660Abstract: A one-piece, washable and sterilizable plastic shoe comprising a lower part with a top on which the foot bears and a bottom enveloping an outsole and a heel, and an upper part having ventilating openings in a substantially vertical lateral area, these openings having upper and lower outer boundary edges that are lower, respectively, than the corresponding upper and lower inner boundary edges thereof. The method for producing such a plastic shoe includes the steps of introducing mouldable plastic into a mould comprising top and bottom halves with a shoe last therebetween and simultaneously forming the lateral ventilating openings by means of spaced pins extending between the bottom-half mould and the last. The apparatus for producing the shoe comprises a mould having top and bottom halves with a shoe last therebetween and a plurality of pins extending from the bottom-half mould into removeable engagement with the shoe last.Type: GrantFiled: March 3, 1982Date of Patent: March 19, 1985Assignee: NATEC InstitutInventors: Hartmut Seidel, Winrich B.
