Publication number: 20100141220Abstract: [Problems] To provide a series electric double-layer capacitor device having a simple structure eliminating nonuniform voltages induced among electric double-layer capacitors (C1 to C6). [Means for Solving Problems] A series electric double-layer capacitor device comprises 2n capacitors (C1 to C6), 2n diodes (D1 to D6), a transformer (T1), and an inverter (31). Secondary wirings (N1 to N3) of the transformer supply the induced voltages to a capacitor module (30) composed of sets of two capacitors and two diodes. The capacitors are charged when the diodes included in the capacitor module are conductive. The series electric double-layer capacitor device further comprises voltage adjusting means (32) for changing the DC voltage level between terminals (1, 2), and the inverter converts the voltage-changed DC voltage into an AC voltage. A voltage for canceling the forward voltage drops of the diodes is added to the induced voltages of the secondary wirings by the operation of the voltage adjusting means.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 14, 2006Publication date: June 10, 2010Applicant: NATIONAL UNIVERSITY CORPORATION SAITAMA UNIVERSITYInventor: Shigeru Abe

Patent number: 7732208Abstract: The present invention provides a novel method of significantly promoting the ratio of homologous recombination in desirable cells. In order to enhance the ratio of homologous recombination in desirable cells such as eukaryotic cells, mutation is introduced into genes encoding factors necessary for non-homologous recombination, such as Ku70 or Ku80, or the above genes are disrupted, so as to cause the loss of the functions thereof. At the time, foreign DNA is introduced into the cells via the electroshock method or the like, so as to carry out homologous recombination, thereby promoting the frequency of homologous recombination in the cells.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2004Date of Patent: June 8, 2010Assignee: National University Corporation Saitama UniversityInventor: Hirokazu Inoue

Publication number: 20100033156Abstract: [Problems] To provide a non-contact power feeder that is high efficient and high power factor and has no load dependence. [Means for Solving Problems] A series capacitor Cs1 is connected to a primary winding 1 driven by an AC power supply 3 and a parallel capacitor Cp2 is connected to a secondary winding 2. The capacitance Cp is set to Cp?1/{2?f0×(x0+x2)} and the capacitance Cs converted to the primary side is set to Cs?(x0+x2)/{2?f0×(x0×x1+x1×x2+x2×x0)}, where f0 is the frequency of the power supply, x1 is a primary leakage reactance of the primary winding 1, x2 is a secondary leakage reactance of the secondary winding 2 converted to the primary side and x0 is an excitation reactance converted to the primary side. By setting Cp and Cs to the above values, the transformer of the non-contact power feeder is substantially equivalent to an ideal transformer. If it is driven by a voltage type converter, the output voltage (=load voltage) becomes substantially constant voltage regardless of the load.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 7, 2006Publication date: February 11, 2010Applicant: NATIONAL UNIVERSITY CORPORATION SAITAMA UNIVERSITYInventors: Shigeru Abe, Hiroyoshi Kaneko
