Abstract: There is provided a zero-voltage switching high-frequency inverter capable of supplying a current of a large amplitude operation to a load, while suppressing a main switch current. The zero-voltage switching high-frequency inverter according to the present invention comprises: a first switch S1 and a second switch S2 that are connected in series between power sources Ed; a first capacitor C1, an impedance element R, and an inductor element L that are connected in series between a connecting path connecting the first switch S1 and the second switch S2 and one end of the power sources Ed; and a second capacitor C2 connected in parallel to the impedance element R and the inductor element L that are connected in series.

Abstract: An exhaust gas cleaning apparatus and a filter regeneration apparatus that are capable of cleaning a large volume of exhaust gas without any increase in size of a nonmagnetic member around which a working coil for induction heating is wound. The exhaust gas cleaning apparatus includes a particulate collecting section and a filter regenerating section placed next to each other in the flow direction of an exhaust gas, and a movable frame. The movable frame holds an extension of a filter unit extending from a casing of the particulate collecting section beyond the support frame of the filter regenerating section, and can move the filter unit in the axial direction of the casing. When the filter unit moved by the movable frame passes through the filter regenerating section, a corresponding part of a holding frame disposed in the filter unit is continuously induction-heated to burn collected particulates, such that the filter unit can be regenerated.

Abstract: A linear regression equation, ?1=?(?×h)+?, is obtained based on a depth h to a water zone of a predetermined water temperature, respective densities ?1 and ?2 of upper and lower layers above and below the water zone, and an absolute dynamic topography ?1 obtained based on data measured by satellite (?=(?2??1)/?2). Further, h? (depth of the water zone of the predetermined water temperature at each of a large number of spots) is determined according to this equation, ?2=?(??×h?)+?, based on ?? for each of the large number of spots calculated based on historical data, an absolute dynamic topography ?2 at each of the large number of spots based on data measured by satellite, and the values ? and ?.

Abstract: A center-of-gravity detection system includes a vehicle capable of carrying cargo and adapted to be towed by a towing vehicle, a shake detector configured to detect shakes in the directions of the self-weight and width of the towed vehicle during travel of the towed vehicle, and an arithmetic unit. The arithmetic unit is configured to derive, based upon physical quantities that correlate with the shakes, the location of the center of gravity, in three-dimensional space, of the towed vehicle.

Abstract: In order to examine whether or not a germ cell derived from a donor fish, which has been transplanted into a recipient fish of a different species by a surrogate fish technique, grows or matures in the gonad of the recipient fish, it is necessary to use, as an indicator, a trait that is specifically expressed in the germ cell and can be used to distinguish the recipient fish from the donor fish. Vasa gene, which is a germ cell-specific gene, is specific to a primordial germ cell and a spermatogonium/an oogonium, and it is not expressed in a somatic cell. In the present invention, the Vasa gene sequences of a tuna, a chub mackerel, a spotted mackerel, an eastern little tuna, and a drumfish are determined, and the expression of such gene is used as a marker for a germ cell. In addition, according to the present invention, it is possible to specifically detect only a tuna Vasa gene in Vasa gene sequences that are highly conserved in fishes, without sequencing.

Abstract: The present invention provides a fine particle removing apparatus which can efficiently burn collected fine particles in exhaust gas, has a simple configuration and can be readily controlled. In this fine particle removing apparatus, a filter unit which collects fine particles in the exhaust gas is arranged in a housing formed of a non-magnetic material through which the exhaust gas passes. By supplying a high-frequency current to a working coil wound around an outer peripheral section of the housing, support plates arranged in this filter unit are subjected to induction heating, and fine particles accumulated in the filter unit are burned with heat generated by this induction heating.
