Patents Assigned to NEC Electronics Incorporated
  • Patent number: 5808573
Abstract: Analog-to-digital converter (ADC) output bits are partitioned in a way that simplifies the phase error calculations. The circuit architecture embeds the implementation of the phase error calculations in the analog-to digital-converter (ADC) to simplify the overall circuit implementation. Simplification of the phase error calculations allows a reduction in the complexity of the circuits needed to implement the phase-locked-loop (PLL) for recovering the sampling clock.

  • Patent number: 5509539
Abstract: An injection molding compound pellet cleaner 10 removes broken pellets and eliminates excessive dust from molding compound pellets for preparation of the pellets for processing in an automatic molding machine. The pellet cleaner includes a vacuum chamber 22 and a perforated canister 50 for holding the pellets 80. A vacuum is generated within the chamber to clean dust from the pellets and to remove broken pellets.

  • Patent number: 5416916
Abstract: In a microprocessor such as a Model V40 or V50, which includes a DMA unit but does not have direct memory-to-memory transfer capabilities, an external register is used and controlled by the DMA unit to temporarily store data from memory during a direct memory-to-memory transfer by the DMA,

  • Patent number: 5305794
Abstract: A gas cylinder valve assembly has an outside portion positioned outside the gas cylinder and an inside portion positioned inside the gas cylinder. A canal for conducting gas passes through the inside and outside portions. The canal communicates with the inside of the cylinder through orifices in the inside portion. The canal further communicates with the inside of the gas cylinder through an opening, gas flow through which is controlled by a check valve. The check valve normally closes the opening. Gas in the cylinder flows to the outside through the orifices. During the filling operation, gas is supplied from outside under pressure. The gas under pressure opens the check valve, and gas flows both through the orifices and through the opening.

  • Patent number: 5260909
Abstract: A memory circuit is provided with a phase locked serial input port that is adapted to receive unsynchronized raw serial data. The memory eliminates complex serial input timing problems associated with conventional video RAM, and allows direct connection to high speed external storage devices and communication devices. The memory circuit includes a memory array having an input port and an output port, a serial sequential circuit coupled to the memory array for loading data into the memory array, and a phase locked loop circuit for receiving raw serial data. The phase locked loop circuit is coupled to the serial sequential circuit for providing a synchronized data signal and a clock signal to the serial sequential circuit.

  • Patent number: 4968336
Abstract: A system for treating and removing toxic by-products of semiconductor plasma etching processes utilizes a collection box having various treatment chambers in seriatim. A heated inlet conducts a vaporous process stream into an expansion chamber where the gas is expanded. The expanded gas flows over a baffle weir into a packing chamber filled with plastic media spheres. In the upper reaches of the packing chamber but below the weir top, a deionized water atomizer sprays deionized water to humidify and cool the expanded gases which allows the water soluble toxic by-products, such as aluminum trichloride, to initially precipitate out and condense on the spheres. With continued water flow the by-products solubilize in the water and flow to an acid drain. Remaining vaporous gaseous exhaust products pass under a weir defining one side of the packing chamber up to an exhaust chamnber where a series of inclined staggered baffles and a strainer trap remove water from the gaseous exhaust and return it to the acid drain.
