  • Patent number: 7043594
Abstract: In a serial bus network, an environment is provided, in which the serial bus is divided to two local buses and a specific terminal connected to one of the local buses can reliably occupy other terminals connected to the other local bus without influence on the terminals connected to the local buses. A specific terminal is connected to a local bus 101, to which an inner portal 3 is connected, and an ID information thereof is preliminarily recorded in a ROM 8. After a power source is turned on, the specific terminal connected to the side of the inner portal 3 is detected according to the ID information from the ROM 8. An ID information of all of nodes connected to a local bus 104, to which an outer portal 4 is connected, is read out and stored in a control portion 5. A bus reset is generated on the local bus 101. In order to give a connection information of the local bus 104, a self-ID packet is generated by the control portion 5 and transmits it through a dedicated PHY 6.

  • Patent number: 6891445
Abstract: In response to changes in an input binary digital signal, a 3rd order cosine pulse waveform, which, when it is changed in the increasing direction, has “0” level in a first period of T/12 (T corresponding to one-half cycle of the binary digital signal), is changed as a waveform of (h/2)(1+cos(3?t/T)+?/4) in the next period of 4T/12 (?5T/12?t??T/12) and has an h (constant) level in the remaining period of T/12, and when it is changed in the reducing direction, has the h level in the first period of T/12, is changed as a waveform of (h/2)(1+cos(3?t/T)??/4) in the next period of 4T/12 (T/12?t?5T/12) and also has “0” level in the remaining period of T/12. By using this pulse wave, a flat part is generated in a time width of T/12 with respect to a judgment point. It is thus possible to improve the immunity to the effects of digital signal jitter, obtain change judgment with a sole single pulse and reduce the circuit scale and the power consumption.

  • Patent number: 6801694
Abstract: A face alignment device of the present invention comprises two units that are each provided with: a convex semi-spherical block having a contact surface that makes contact with a clamp member for securing an object and a convex semi-spherical surface on the opposite side of the contact surface; and a base block having a concave portion corresponding to the semi-spherical surface of the convex semi-spherical block for rotatably holding the convex semi-spherical block, wherein the two units are arranged such that their contact surfaces face each other. The clamp member is attached to the contact surfaces of the respective units at eccentric positions from the center axes of the convex semi-spherical blocks. This is advantageous since a load required for rotational sliding between each of the semi-spherical surfaces of the convex semi-spherical blocks and each of the concave portions of the base blocks can be small.

Abstract: In an order shop system, a shopping mall is constituted of a body capture booth located at a center and a group of shops of different kinds located around the body capture booth. The body capture booth and the group of shops are connected by an Internet having a data center functioning as a server. The body capture booth is configured to measure the shape data of a body of an entering customer and to transmit the shape data of the body of the customer thus measured to the data center. Each of the shops of different kinds is configured to receive an order of a goods or services from the customer whose body shape data was measured in the body capture booth, and to obtain the body shape data of the customer from the data center and to actually supply the ordered goods or services prepared on the basis of the body shape data of the customer.

  • Patent number: 6480678
Abstract: A three-dimensional measuring apparatus or similar contour measuring apparatus of the present invention includes a projector for emitting light, a lattice film or similar light transmitting member, and a camera. Light issuing from the projector is transmitted through the lattice film to illuminate an object to be measured. The lattice film is movable to a plurality of projecting positions in a preselected direction. The camera shoots the object being illuminated by the light. A driving device for driving the lattice film includes a cam follower associated with the lattice film, and a cam for guiding the cam follower. The cam has a cam surface including a plurality of contiguous, insensitive portions each for causing the lattice film to remain in a halt at a particular position when the cam follower contacts the insensitive portion.

  • Publication number: 20020118823
Abstract: In a telephone power source circuit, a direct current from a network is used to charge an input capacitor via an input current limiting resistor. A resultantly charged voltage is inputted to and is converted by a DC/DC converter to produce an output voltage. In parallel with the input current limiting resistor, a limit removing unit including a switching transistor is arranged. The output voltage is delayed by a delay circuit to activate a driving transistor, which drives the switching transistor. The input voltage to the converter is monitored by an input voltage sensor. Therefore, the telephone power source circuit copes with a plurality of hubs of different power supplying specifications in an internet (IP) telephone network in which telephones are connected to a local-area network of the IEEE802.3 standard and the like.

  • Publication number: 20020055999
Abstract: A system for measuring quality-of-service (QoS) provided to each connection included in a stream of packets and allowing a bottleneck to be identified is disclosed. When a packet enters a network at a node or passes through a via-point node, its destination node in the network is determined based on its source and final destination addressee. Feature data identifying the inflow or passing packet is forwarded to the egress at the destination node. At the egress, it is determined whether an outflow packet captured at the egress is identical to the inflow or passing packet by feature data comparison. When they match. QoS for that packet provided by the network can be computed by detecting a difference between inflow time stamp and outflow time stamp thereof.
