The air guiding system has an air channel switching device and has an evaporating end fan and a condensing end fan both mounted in the air channel switching device. An operation mode switching method of the portable air conditioner has a cooling mode and a dehumidifying mode. In the dehumidifying mode, cool air drawn by the evaporating end fan flows through a condenser and is heated to become hot air and is discharged. Therefore, the portable air conditioner has both cooling function like an ordinary air conditioner and dehumidifying function like an ordinary dehumidifier.

    Abstract: A dehumidifier comprises a main body and a main tank. The main body has a water collector, a secondary tank, a filtering assembly, and a water pump. The water collector has an exhaust hole. The secondary tank is located under the water collector and has a receiving hole aligned to the exhaust hole. The filtering assembly has a filter located between the exhaust hole and the receiving hole, and aligned to the exhaust hole. An area of the filter is bigger than an area of the exhaust hole. The water pump has a drawing opening communicating with the secondary tank and a draining opening communicating with the main tank. Thus, the water flowing out the exhaust hole will definitely pass through the filter before flowing into the secondary tank. Therefore, the filtering assembly prevents the water pump from drawing water with dusts and impurities and being damaged.

The controlling assembly controls the water pump to start or to stop according to the relative position between the float and the starting position or the stopping position. The main tank is detachably mounted on the main body, is located in a lateral side of the main body, and communicates with the water pump. With the controlling assembly, the water pump can be controlled to start only when necessary, thereby saving energy and reducing noises caused by prolonged running.

When the main tank is moved upward, the first inclined surface pushes the retracting mechanism, so the conduit portion retracts and is moved away from a moving path of the main tank when the main tank is being drawn upward. With the main tank mounted beside the main body, the main tank facilitates water pouring.

Each concealed handle has a case, a cover, and a moving structure. The case has a finger accommodating space and a finger inserting opening communicating with each other. The movable cover is movably mounted in the finger inserting space in the case of the concealed handle, and thus the user's fingers can push to move the cover and then insert into the finger accommodating space to conveniently move or lift the main body. Thus, the connecting tube is rotatable relative to the housing. When torque is caused in the exhausting pipe due to redirecting it, the connecting tube rotates accordingly. When the knob is rotated, the sliding protrusions move along the inclined recesses to force the knob moving downward. Therefore, the end protrusion pushes the button to turn on the switch.

With such positioning of the air inlet and the air outlets of the outer casing, and with the fan drawing air axially and blowing air radially, the warm air blows out from both sides of the outer casing. Thus, convection speed is increased and ambient air temperature is warmed more effectively.
