    Abstract: A rack assembly for mounting telecommunications equipment and adapted for withstanding seismic forces includes a main frame subassembly including an upper horizontal support member, a lower horizontal support member, a first vertical support member, and a second vertical support member spaced in parallel relation to the first vertical support member. The first and second vertical support members each have a double-bend profile, defined by an inside base portion, a first medial leg and a second medial leg each extending substantially orthogonally from the inside base portion, a first distal leg extending substantially orthogonally from the first medial leg in a direction towards the second medial leg, and a second distal leg extending substantially orthogonally from the second medial leg in a direction towards the first medial leg. An extension frame subassembly is securely attached to the upper horizontal support member of the main frame subassembly.

    Abstract: A cable channel and lid assembly including an elongate cable channel for supporting wire and/or optical cable therein and defining outwardly facing grooves adjacent the top edge of each side wall. A hinged top lid is provided including two opposing side walls wherein each side wall includes an inwardly extending portion for being received by a corresponding channel wall groove. One of the top lid side walls is substantially rigid and can be disengagingly raised from its associated channel wall groove, and the other of the top lid side walls is flexible and adapted to be fixedly secured in its associated groove so as to serve as a hinge when the aforesaid opposing top lid side wall is raised.

    Abstract: A universal application unequal flange telephone equipment rack is provided to obviate the need for open and closed duct network bays and open and closed duct unequal flange equipment racks. The universal rack is constructed of a pair of upright frame members which are joined by a first pair of horizontal frame members at the top thereof and a second pair of horizontal frame members at the bottom thereof. The upstanding frame members are formed from identical metal channels having a U-shaped cross-section comprising a web with one relatively short side portion and another relatively long side portion wherein the web and side portions of each upright frame member are directed outwardly relative to the other frame member. Each pair of horizontal frame members is formed from identical C-shaped metal channels which are spaced apart so as to define a slot therebetween.
