  • Patent number: 9953178
Abstract: Systems and methods authorizing access to storage system resources are presented herein. A scoped permission assignment can be associated with an operation related to a type of at least one resource. The scoped permission assignment can be assigned to a role; and the role can be associated with user(s). A resource, or one or more resources of a resource group, can be associated with user(s) or user group(s). Further, a user can be authorized to perform the operation on the resource and/or one or more resources based on, at least in part, permission assignments directly granted to the user or granted in a role of the user. In addition, one or more resource flags can be assigned to the one or more resources. Accordingly, the user can be authorized to perform the operation based on, at least in part, the one or more resource flags and the scoped permission assignment.

  • Publication number: 20170299230
Abstract: A direct contact densified fluid-based thermodynamic treatment system uses the fluid to effect heat transfer as the working fluid in a separate yet linked treatment system. During certain phases of operation of a densified fluid-based treatment process wherein it is necessary to distill the fluid to maintain the purity of the densified fluid heat is imparted to the densified fluid raising it above the boiling point for the associated pressure within a vessel. A densified fluid-based refrigeration/thermodynamic system removes heat during the condensing cycle of a working densified fluid treatment system and use the removed heat for distillation of the same working fluid in the distillation vessel. The process does not require an external heating or cooling system, and thus can be entirely supported by a single machine using the same densified fluid during its operational phase.

  • Patent number: 9752273
Abstract: A densified fluid barrier cleaning system is disclosed in which a pressure vessel encases a movable basket positioned so as to cross a barrier such that one opening of the pressure vessel resides in a first environment and a second opening of the pressure vessel resides in a second environment. A tubular basket within the pressure vessel is positioned such that its central longitudinal axis is aligned with both the first and second opening of the pressure vessel. Responsive to the successful completion of a cleaning cycle, soiled articles that are introduced to the basket via the first opening from the first environment can be removed through the second opening and into the second environment thus bridging the barrier without fear of introducing contaminants from the first environment to second environment.

  • Patent number: 9578100
Abstract: Provisioning storage resources for customers from a distributed grid of disparate storage systems is presented herein. A storage tier component can sort, based on attributes of heterogeneous computer-readable storage media, the heterogeneous computer-readable storage media into tiers of storage to facilitate provisioning a portion of storage space of a tier of the tiers for a computing resource. Further, the storage tier component can receive an input from a device for provisioning of the portion of the storage space of the tier, and configure, based on the input, a storage resource to facilitate access between the portion of the storage space of the tier and the computing resource. Furthermore, a tracking component can create an account associated with a customer that is associated with the device to facilitate tracking and/or limiting of utilization of the portion of the storage space of the tier by the customer.

  • Publication number: 20160332202
Abstract: An interchangeable basket treatment system receives a removable agitation basket preloaded with articles through a first door. Once positioned within the chamber and the chamber is sealed, the basket is, in one embodiment, suspended so that it may be manipulated to produce mechanical interaction between the articles and treatment fluids within the chamber. Upon completion of the treatment cycle the chamber is accessed via a second door and the basket and its contents removed.

  • Publication number: 20160265155
Abstract: A pressurized system using densified fluid can apply and/or activate durable water repellant. Durable water repellant bound to fibers of an article of clothing can be activated by first removing contaminants via a pressurized densified fluid cleaning process and thereafter imputing energy into the durable water repellant via the article's interaction with the densified fluid and its gaseous rinse cycle.

  • Patent number: 9304879
Abstract: Movement of storage access is orchestrated between systems by dynamically reconfiguring zoning of a storage fabric. A failover system can detect a failure of a first initiator system that is assigned to a target storage system using a zone table of one or more network switches that are communicatively coupled to the target storage system. Further, the failover system can reassign the target storage system to a second initiator system using the zone table in response to a detection of the failure of the first initiator system, wherein the second initiator system is determined to be communicatively coupled to the one or more network switches. Furthermore, the failover system can initiate an access, via the one or more network switches based on the zone table, of the target storage system by the second initiator system.

  • Patent number: 8996914
Abstract: Files related to shipping transactions are received from participants. Each of the files are processed in a first stage of a multi-stage process that includes attempting to translate the files to generate a translated file and storing an error status for each file in which the translation experienced an error. For those files that are successfully translated, they are processed in subsequent stage(s) including applying application rule(s) to those files and storing an error status for those translated files resulting in an error. A participant may view a summary of those translated files that are associated with an error status. The participant may further view details of an error to be displayed and retrieve the underlying file. The participant may edit the file to correct the issue and republish the modified file to be reprocessed in the stage of the multi-stage process that identified the error.

Abstract: A methods and systems are provided that relate to providing location data so that a retailer can know whether an item is produced at a factory it is purported to be produced at. A website may be provided to the retailer and/or exposed to the consumer. The consumer may be able to view information about the location of the factory, pictures of the factory, data about the factory (e.g., wage information, carbon footprint, size of the factory, inspection data, social compliance data, regulatory violations if any, etc.). A first geolocation may be received from a microchip associated with an item. A second geolocation may be obtained from a label associated with the item. The first geolocation and the second geolocation may be compared to determine whether the item was manufactured at the same place from or in which it is being packaged, shipped, and/or invoiced.
