Abstract: An engageable pawl member is provided so as to be swingable about a supporting shaft so that a pawl tip is movable along a moving path for a strapping band. The engageable pawl member is pulled forwardly in a swinging direction by a helical tension spring to push the pawl tip against the strapping band. The engageable pawl member shifts forwardly, following the movement of the strapping band in a feeding direction, and the strapping band is sandwiched and held between the engageable paw member and a holding guide. Then, the engageable pawl member follows the movement of the strapping band in a direction to pull back, and the engageable pawl member shifts backwardly so that the pawl tip moves in a direction out of the moving path for the strapping band.

Abstract: An arch type strapping machine suitable for a quick strapping operation and having a long service life is presented. A sealing mechanism 17 for a strapping band is constituted by a right gripper 45, a left gripper 61 and a compression head 63, wherein the right gripper 45 is operated by a solenoid plunger for fixing 41, and the left gripper 61 and the compression head 63 are operated by the rotation of a cam for fixing 65 and a cam for bonding 67 which are attached to a shaft for sealing 59.

Abstract: A roller unit for controlling band-feeding of an arch-type strapping machine, wherein the high-speed pulling back and strong tightening operations can be efficiently proceeded by reducing friction and impact force between a band and a return roller at the transition time between the high-speed pulling back and the strong tightening. The roller unit is so constructed that a return roller is driven via an one-way clutch, wherein a high-speed return roller of small torque and high speed return roller can be pushed to contact to the upper portion of the return roller and a return rocker roller can be pushed to contact to the lower portion of the return roller.

Abstract: An arch type band guide includes corner elements and straight elements each having the same shape and the same size, wherein the elements are connected in a manner capable of swinging in an arch unit, whereby various sizes of band guide can be easily fabricated depending on the size of articles to be packed.

Abstract: A band type strapping machine comprises a swing lever, pivotally supporting a gripper for gripping a band, adapted to swing according to the rotation of a cam mounted on a cam shaft, a control bar engaged with the swing lever to follow the movement of the swing lever, a driving roller operating to engage with a band tightening roller, the driving roller being strongly brought into contact with the band tightening roller rotated at a low speed, high torque by actuation of a solenoid.

Abstract: A semiautomatic-automatic strapping machine can be used in the automatic system as well as in the semiautomatic system. An arch having an arch guide is fitted in a longitudinal gap of a table for its lower part and above said table for its arch part in the automatic system and said arch is disassembled and a band projection guide and a band inserting guide are fitted to said longitudinal gap of said table, at the position of said band projection guide front of said receiving part and said band inserting guide behind said receiving part in the semiautomatic system.
