Publication number: 20040245495Abstract: A method of dusting-preventive treatment in which a powder having dusting property is treated with fibril-forming PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) to impart non-dusting property thereto and the non-dusting property of the powder, after having been reduced during transportation, are economically and advantageously recovered or improved through a relatively simple step. The method comprises: a first dusting-preventive treatment step in which fibril-forming polytetrafluoroethylene is added to a powder having dusting property, and a compression/shear force is exerted to the mixture at a temperature in the range of 20 to 200° C. to thereby regulate powder so as to have a flow value of 150 mm to 200 mm; and a second dusting-preventive treatment step in which a compression/shear force is exerted again at a temperature in the range of 50 to 150° C.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 10, 2003Publication date: December 9, 2004Applicants: ASO CEMENT CO., LTD., MURAKASHI LIME INDUSTRY CO., LTD., NIPPON HODO CO., LTD., DU PONT-MITSUI FLUORO CHEMICALS CO., LTD.Inventors: Hirofumi Tsutsumi, Teruo Urano, Masatsune Ogura, Tetsuya Shimoda

Patent number: 5480584Abstract: Dust-control treatment of dusty powder, which mainly passes through a 100 mesh sieve, such as pigment and fertilizer, is achieved by, firstly blending the dusty powder with fibrillatable polytetrafluoroethylene and a pair of materials capable of initiating an exothermic reaction upon contact, and then subjecting the blended material to compression-shear under the exothermic reaction and raising the temperature of the blended material to 50.degree.-300.degree. C. The polytetrafluoroethylene fibrillates during the compression-shear and the formed fibrils enclose the dusty powder to turn it to a dust-controlled one.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 1995Date of Patent: January 2, 1996Assignees: Murakashi Lime Industry Co., Ltd., Nippon Hodo Co., Ltd., Dupont-Mitsu Fluorochemicals Co., Ltd.Inventors: Teruo Urano, Hiroshi Miyaji, Masatsune Ogura, Tetsuya Shimoda, Katuaki Ishikawa

Patent number: 5393167Abstract: A measuring arm (12) is attached to a frame (5a) supporting a screed (5). Height sensors (13) and (14) are attached to the measuring arm (12), and a height sensor (19) is also attached to the arm (18) of the screed (5). The spacing must remain constant between the rear end of the screed (5) and the height sensor (19), between the height sensor (19) and the height sensor (14), and between the height sensor (14) and the height sensor (13). A distance sensor to calculate the travel distance is provided on the tractor unit (1). The relative height Ho of both height sensors (13) and (14) to the screed (5) must always remain constant, regardless of the tilt of the screed (5) and the measuring arm (12). The sensors (13), and (14), and (17) are connected to the arithmetic unit (30). The height sensor (19) is connected to the arithmetic unit (40). The arithmetic unit (30) receives an output signal from the height sensors (13) and (14) and calculates the thickness of the pavement.Type: GrantFiled: October 18, 1993Date of Patent: February 28, 1995Assignees: Niigata Engineering Co., Ltd., Nippon Hodo Co., Ltd.Inventors: Makio Fujita, Fumio Goto, Tetsuo Ogawa, Akio Ishii, Tomohiro Gocho, Narimasa Yamabe, Ichiro Miyazaki, Masaaki Saito, Yoshihiro Sasa
