The seal member is integrally molded with the installation base member and configured to make elastic contact with a peripheral edge of an opening in a body of an automobile when the panel is in a closed position. The seal member includes sponge material which has a specific gravity that falls within a range of 0.35 to 0.65 and a loss elastic modulus of not more than 0.25 MPa. More preferably, the sponge material has a loss elastic modulus of not more than 0.20 MPa.
