    Abstract: A safety apparatus for a clamping device which includes a machine base, a first fixed board fixed on the base, a movable board movably disposed on the base, either a second fixed board or a bearing member fixed to the base behind the movable board, and a safety door slidably disposed on the base between an open and a closed position. The safety apparatus includes an engagement device disposed on the movable board, the engagement device having a stopper member which is vertically movable between an engaged and a disengaged position when the safety door is opened or closed, a safety rod disposed between the first fixed board and either the bearing member or the second fixed board, the safety rod having a plurality of engagement portions spaced therealong, and a drive device disposed on either the bearing member or the second fixed board for axially moving the safety rod.

    Abstract: A mold clamping apparatus for use in molding machines such as injection molding machines, diecasting machines and press molding machines. The mold clamping apparatus includes a base; a fixed panel and a movable panel disposed on the base and respectively supporting mold halves; a plurality of tie bars each having a screw shaft at one end thereof which passes through the movable panel; a plurality of clamping cylinders disposed on the fixed panel for clamping an other opposite end of the tie bars when the mold apparatus is in a closed position; a mechanism for moving the movable panel toward and away from the fixed panel; an adjusting mechanism, disposed on the movable panel, for simultaneously fixedly adjusting the axial position of the plurality of tie screws with respect to the movable panel such that the distance between the movable panel and the fixed panel when the mold apparatus is in the closed position can correspondingly be adjusted so as to accommodate molds of varying sizes.

    Abstract: An injection molding machine includes a guide coupling for transmitting a linear movement of a ball screw mechanism, and a screw coupling for transmitting rotary movement. A washer-type load cell including an inner tubular portion having first and second ends, an outer tubular portion, and an intermediate distortion portion, is positioned between the guide coupling and the screw coupling to detect a pressure applied to the screw coupling. The inner tubular portion of the load cell and a pair of bearing portions positioned at the first and second ends of the inner tubular portion are secured to the screw coupling by a bearing nut, and the outer tubular portion of the load cell is secured to the guide coupling. This arrangement allows screw pressure to be applied to the inner tubular portion through both the screw coupling displacing relative to the guide coupling and the bearing portion, while the outer tubular portion is positioned-regulated by the guide coupling.
