  • Patent number: 7495172
Abstract: A cable sealing end includes a base fitting configured for mounting on a base; a top fitting configured for securing an overhead conductor; an insulating body made of polymeric material; a conductive connection device configured to form a connection between a cable conductor and the top fitting; and a supporting element. The supporting element includes an elongated metal body; a top plate disposed on the elongated metal body and securable to the top fitting; and a metallic cylindrical structural component. The structural component projects into an interior of the insulating body and has a base flange disposed adjacent to the base fitting. The structural component has a length of one quarter to one third of a length of the insulating body. An entire length of the elongated metal body and the structural component, with the exception of the base flange, are embedded in the insulating body.

  • Patent number: 7047623
Abstract: A device is provided for installing at least one linear motor line in the grooves (14) of an inductor (15) which is situated underneath a cover plate (10). The device includes a vehicle (31) which can be moved on the cover plate (10), a supply (34) of line (16), a device (36, 40) for forming the meander of the line (16), a device (35) for drawing the line (16) from the supply (34) and for delivering the line (16) to the device (36) and a tool (42) for pressing the line (16) into the grooves (14). The line may be installed automatically, even if the spacing of the grooves varies in dimension, by providing for an assembly slide (46) which can be moved in relation to the vehicle (31). The slide is located at least partially under the cover plate (10) and the device (36, 40) and tool (42) are located thereon.

  • Patent number: 6856048
Abstract: The invention relates to a linear motor for a linear drive mechanism of a magnetic levitation transport system. Said linear motor comprises a plurality of inductor supports (15) which are arranged in a row and which have grooves (14) crosswise to the longitudinal direction, said grooves being substantially equal distances apart from each other; and at least three linear motor lines (1, 2, 3), which are wound into windings (16) in a meandering shape and which are located in the grooves (14) in sections. Said coils (16) have winding heads (16.1, 16.2, 16.3) situated a distance (A) apart. The invention solves the technical problem of producing the windings continuously and economically by providing that the lengths (A?) of the winding heads (16.1?, 16.2?, 16.3?) of the of the at least three linear motor lines (1, 2, 3) are extended at a point of discontinuity (100) between two adjacent inductor supports (15).

  • Patent number: 6253587
Abstract: The invention relates to a device and method for regulating the compressing of metal tubing (20) having inner-lying beam wave guides (8) by means of a roll straightening passage (10a, 10b) comprising a feeding device (36, 36′) of the rollers (12-16) with regard to the angle of wrap (A1, A2). The metal tubing (20) is unwound by a feed roller (11) in front of the roll straightening passage delivery roller (11′) after said roll straightening passage (10a, 10b). According to the invention, a measuring device (34) for determining the velocity (v1, v2) of the metal tubing (20) is arranged in front of and behind each roll straightening passage (10a, 10b). The measuring device (30) can determine the difference in velocity in front of and behind the roll straightening passage and the feeding device (36, 36′) can be adjusted independently of the difference in velocity.
