Patents Assigned to Noble Linear Irrigation, Inc.
  • Patent number: 4491274
Abstract: A land irrigation system having an elongated support boom including a water distribution pipe supported above and moved laterally over the area to be irrigated, and a plurality of elongated conduits are supported for movement with and are connected to the water distribution pipe in generally parallel, equally spaced relation to one another and generally transverse to the water distribution pipe. A plurality of sprinkler heads are connected to each elongated conduit in spaced relation to one another with the spray heads on the plurality of elongated conduits cooperating to apply a water spray to a strip of land extending along the water distribution pipe and having a width greater than the length of the elongated conduits.

  • Patent number: 4467962
Abstract: A land irrigation system is illustrated in which an elongated sprinkler line continuously travels in a direction transverse to its length along the length dimension of a stationary water main and is continuously supplied with water from upstanding hydrants spaced along the length of the water main. Driven tractor means moves along the water main at substantially the same rate as the sprinkler line and supports one end of each of a pair of elongated water carrying pipe connector devices which extend outwardly from the tractor in generally opposite directions for automatic connection to and disconnection from successive hydrants along the main, the tractor supported ends being mounted for movement relative to one another on the tractor support to permit continuous movement of the tractor along the water main and intermittent, independent movement of the respective water carrying connecting pipes. Separate drive means are provided for the respective water carrying connecting pipes.

  • Patent number: 4442974
Abstract: A land irrigation system in which a continuously traveling sprinkler line is supplied with water from a stationary water supply conduit extending in the direction of the movement of the sprinkler line, the apparatus of the invention being designed to continuously supply water to the sprinkler from spaced risers forming part of the water supply conduit. A conveyance moves along the water supply conduit, the conveyance carrying a rotating water manifold with a plurality of water carrying arms extending from the water manifold in angularly spaced relation to each other for successive connection to water outlet valves on the risers as the conveyance moves along the water supply conduit. The water outlet from the water manifold is connected to the water inlet of the sprinkler line in such a manner that the water manifold and water carrying arms can rotate relative to the inlet of the sprinkler line.

Abstract: A land irrigation system in which a continuously traveling sprinkler line is supplied with water from spaced risers mounted on a stationary water supply conduit extending in the direction of the movement of the sprinkler line to continuously supply water to the sprinkler conveyance, carrying a rotating water manifold with three rigid water carrying arms extending from the manifold at 120.degree. to each other for successive connection to water outlet valves on the risers, moves along the water supply conduit. The outlet from the manifold is connected to the inlet of the sprinkler line through a conduit having a swivel joint whereby the manifold and rigid arms can rotate through 360.degree. relative to the inlet of the sprinkler line. The inlet end of each rigid arm has a coupling device for coupling with outlet valve of a riser and for opening and closing the riser outlet valve. One rigid arm is fluidly coupled to the supply line at all times.
