    Abstract: A work station for manually picking of piece goods, including a window conveyor which includes a plurality of optically distinguishable window locations. Each window location includes a defined region of the conveyor which is suitable for receiving a piece good. The conveyor extends through a picking zone and a provision region where different types of piece goods are provided at access locations. At the provision region the order-picking person can grasp piece goods manually from each of the access locations and put same on the conveyor. An order-picking control controls warehouse management and order processing in order to transmit information concerning one of the access locations and a removal quantity to the order-picking person in accordance with an order line of the picking order. A device is provided for allocating an unoccupied window location to one of the order lines based on selection and entry of the order-picking person.

    Abstract: A multiple-door switchgear cabinet includes a cabinet housing containing electrical equipment and being connectable to a power source. Doors attached to the cabinet housing provide access to the electrical equipment and include a first door and secondary doors. The first door, when closed, provides for electrical continuity through a main electrical power switch, and removes electrical continuity when open. A mechanical interlock controls the order in which the doors are closed. The mechanical interlock is mounted to the cabinet and is in contact with the doors when they are closed, the interlock being biased by a biasing device to bear against the first door when any of the other doors is opened. A locking bar is movably attached to the first door, and releasably attached to the secondary door. wherein attachment to the secondary door prevents both doors from inadvertent opening.

    Abstract: A single-crystal pulling device includes vertically tilted magnetic coils between the walls of a cooling vessel. The inside and outside walls of the cooling vessel are coaxially aligned about a central axis. The inside wall of the cooling vessel is coaxially disposed around a cylindrical crucible that holds molten semiconductor material. A mid line passes through the middle point of a first coil, the central axis and the middle point of a second coil. The first coil is wound in a first plane, and the second coil is wound in a second plane. The first plane and the second plane both intersect the central axis at the same point. The first plane intersects the central axis at an angle between 5 and 15 degrees. In one embodiment, the first plane intersects the central axis below the crucible. In another embodiment, the first plane intersects the central axis above the crucible.

    Abstract: A process for the treatment of waste water containing boron compounds and radionuclides. The waste water is essentially vaporized until dry to yield a concentrate. Boric acid ester and an azeotropic mixture of water and alcohol are produced in a reaction by the addition of an excess of a long chain primary alcohol, e.g. butyl alcohol, to the concentrate. The azeotropic mixture, excess alcohol and boric acid ester are then separated from the concentrate by distilling. The non-radioactive components are then separated from the concentrate leaving behind a radioactive residue, which can be safely disposed of. The azeotropic mixture is then separated back into water and alcohol, and the boric acid ester is saponified back into boric acid and alcohol. The alcohol and boric acid are recycled back into the treatment process and to the nuclear reactor.
