  • Publication number: 20150341169
Abstract: A method for establishing an encrypted communication channel is described. Query IDs are generated at a first device. Each query ID identifies a keyword in a set of keywords. Query IDs are received, at a second device. A second set of keywords is determined by the second device based on the query IDs. Match IDs are determined based on the second set. Each match ID identifies a keyword in the second set. An encryption key is generated based on the second set. A response is sent which includes the match IDs and an encrypted message. At the first device, the second set is determined based on the match IDs. The second set includes keywords of the first set of keywords identified by the match IDs. The encryption key is generated at the first device and the encrypted message is decrypted. Apparatus and computer readable media are also described.

  • Patent number: 9198154
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided to permit location discovery, including location discovery in indoor settings. The method may identify a wireless fingerprint present at a geographical location and determine whether the wireless fingerprint corresponds to a previously observed wireless fingerprint associated with the predefined geographical location. A new wireless fingerprint and a geographical location, or bind, may be received by the system and the system may evaluate whether or not the new bind is erroneous or not, or if the new bind is an improvement over existing binds in determining whether or not to accept the new bind.

  • Publication number: 20150326372
Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein to reduce interference of communication systems and other wireless technologies, such as a radar system, in a radio frequency band. Embodiments include a shared spectrum access database and shared access controllers. A shared spectrum access database may communicate with a radar system, may communicate with the shared access controllers, and may determine whether there have been changes in the radar's usage of the radio frequency band. The shared spectrum access database may communicate the changes to the shared access controllers. The shared access controllers may cause a communication system to cease operations or allow operations with secondary devices. In some embodiments, the shared spectrum access database may indicate how often the shared access controller sends channel usage requests to the shared spectrum access database.
