Abstract: A lens assembly is provided for use with a flashlight or similar apparatus, the lens assembly provides separate optimization of a first beam of light and a second beam of light. The lens assembly is adapted for use in multiple LED applications, such as the use of white and infrared light beams in a single flashlight apparatus.

Abstract: A portable infrared (IR) detection system can be used to scan an adjacent terrain and detect an IR source, such as a person or animal, by detecting heat emitted therefrom. Humans, animals and other sources emit IR radiation which can be detected by an IR detector. The emitted radiation is captured by a tube and reflected onto a sensor using a parabolic or other reflector. The sensor is connected to a display component for producing an audible, visual, or vibrational alert. Activities such as hunting, boating, and camping, often accompany situations where detection of a human, animal, or other heat source can be a valuable tool. This invention provides a portable IR detection system for use in these and other activities, the portable detection system being collapsible, portable and cost-efficient.

Abstract: A quick release weapon mount is provided, the mount comprising a housing member having a base and a means for attaching an accessory, and at least one clamp. The clamp comprising one or more slideably engaged translational members, wherein the translational members are adapted for slideable translational-movement. The means for attaching an accessory can include a lumen, a clamping band, a toggle clamp, a spring clip, a latch or other attachment means. An additional translational clamp can be included to lock an accessory in a fixed axial position on the mount. The mount can further include a supplemental accessory rail for modular construction of several accessories and a safety mechanism for preventing premature release of the mount.

Abstract: A head-mounted navigation system may include an image sensor configured to sense one or more objects forward of a person and to generate image information representative of the one or more objects. A bearing sensor may be included and configured to detect bearing and to generate bearing information representative of the bearing. Securing apparatus may be included and configured to secure the bearing sensor to the person. The securing apparatus may be configured to secure the bearing sensor to the torso of the person, such as to his or her back. A processing system may be included and configured to receive the image information and/or the bearing information and to generate display information representative of the one or more objects and/or the bearing. A display may be included and configured to receive the display information and to display visual information representative of the one or more objects and/or the bearing.
