Abstract: Roller skate comprising a plate (1) for the user's foot and one front wheel (2) and a rear wheel (3) having a convex curved running surface and rotably mounted on shafts (7, 5). One wheel is pivotable between side angle positions on either side of a center position in which the direction of rolling of the wheel concerned extends in the longitudinal direction of the skate. A steering mechanism (15) is provided for pivoting of the wheel (2) and having a sensing member (22) which is arranged to rest against the subsurface on which the wheel is designed to roll. The sensing member is connected with the pivotable wheel in such a way that the angle of pivoting is governed by the inclination of the skate in relation to the subsurface, due to the member resting against the subsurface.

Abstract: Log processing positioning apparatus in which a log is brought to pass along a path from an input end of the same and through a log processing device at an output end of the path provided to divide the log into wood products. Between the input end and the processing device a scanner is provided to register the dimensions and shape of the log passing through the scanner. A computer is provided to receive and analyze the values registered by the scanner and relating to the dimensions and shape of the log by means of a program directed towards a number of cutting patterns and the position of the log in the processing device in order to divide the log into wood products so that the maximum yield is obtained. A first positioning device is provided to feed the log along the path, to move it transversally to the extension of the path and to turn the log along its longitudinal axis and provided to be governed by the computer in order to give the log said intended position.

Abstract: A measuring device for dispensing preferably viscous liquids comprising a container (4) for the liquid with a main space (28) and below the main space, a smaller space (29) which is in communication with the main space through a passage (37) and opens out through another passage (30). The portion which constitutes the smaller space (29) and the two passages (37, 30) is compressible. A member (3) is adapted, under the influence of spring forces, in a first position to compress the second passage (30). The member can be moved, against the action of said spring forces, into a second position in which it compresses the first passage (37) while the second passage (30) is open, so that in a third position, in which the member compresses the smaller space (29) and still the first passage (37), the liquid squirts out through the second passage (30).

Abstract: Device for the fastening of buttons (12) to a piece of garment (56), exhibiting a first portion provided with a number of button holes, and a second portion, to which the buttons shall be fastened without sewing with their projections. A holding means (5) is arranged to hold the buttons (12) in a position in between them corresponding to the position in between the buttonholes and means for holding the first portion of the garment. A feeding device (3, 4) for the buttons (12) extends to the mentioned holding means (5). A second holding means (6) with means (50) is arranged to hold the second portion of the piece of garment, and a processing means (52) for the fastening of the projections. The second holding means (6) is fixed and has its device for holding the second portion of the piece of garment substantially pointing in upwards direction.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for the forming of hair. At the forming a strand of hair is drawn into a chamber (24) from an orifice (29) thereof by means of an air stream flowing inwards from said orifice. The chamber is shaped to produce an intended curvature of the strand of hair. By means of introduction of heated air through openings (28) close to the orifice (29) of the duct, the horny substances of the hair will be softened so that a plastic bend of the hair is obtained. The strand of hair being subjected to heating during a predetermined period of time, which is adjusted to the softening process of the horny substance and carried out by a heating means (19) for the supplied air by means of an automatic time controlling device (64) being maintained in activated condition.
