Patents Assigned to NTN-Rulon Industries Co., Ltd.
  • Patent number: 4978463
Abstract: A rubber composition made of a diene rubber having such excellent properties as heat resistance and mechanical strength and organopolysiloxane or fluoropolymer as a lubricating substance. The lubricating substance may contain isocyanate or cyanate groups, which will react with the hydroxy groups which exist on the surface of a filler usually applied to the diene rubber, thus securely keeping the lubricating substance in the molecular structure of the composition. A liquid diene polymer containing hydroxy groups and having a good compatibility with the diene rubber may be further added to the composition so that its hydroxy groups will react with the isocyanate or cyanate groups in the lubricating substance. The liquid diene polymer may contain epoxy groups instead of hydroxy groups, whereas the lubricating substance containing such functional groups as amino, carboxyl, hydroxy or mercapto groups so that the exoxy groups in the former and the functional groups in the latter will react with each other.

  • Patent number: 4825249
Abstract: An improved cleaning blade for a photoelectronic copying machine. It has a sharp, resilient edge and is superior in wear resistance, and lubricating and cleaning properties. The substrate of the cleaning blade is urethane rubber and is coated with perfluoropolyether having a main structural unit represented by --C.sub.x F.sub.2x --O-- (x is 1, 2, 3 or 4) and having an isocyanate, hydroxyl, carboxyl or amino group at least at one end thereof. It may be coated with a mixture of the perfluoropolyether and an isocyanate group or a hydroxyl group.

  • Patent number: 4727118
Abstract: A polyether imide resin composition is proposed which has improved ductility and is less harmful to mating parts during sliding and thus can be used as the material for parts requiring rub resistance and abrasion resistance. It comprises 50-99.5 percent by weight of a polyether imide and 50-0.5 percent by weight of a vulcanizable organopolysiloxane elastomer.

  • Patent number: 4703075
Abstract: Resinous compositions having lubricity are proposed which are suited for use as bearing parts. The composition comprises a synthetic resin and one or two kinds of organopolysiloxane. Three-dimensional network of organopolysiloxane keeps low the friction coefficient and the abrasion coefficient, reinforces the substrate, and prevents the decrease of mechanical strength of synthetic resin.

  • Patent number: 4687696
Abstract: Improvements in a finger strip for copying machines are proposed. The finger strip made of a heat-resistant resin is coated with a fluorinated polyether polymer to improve lubricity and antistickiness. High adhesion strength between the coating and the substrate and very thin coating help to eliminate the problems of poor separation and jamming of paper.
