Abstract: A film material (1) is disclosed herein, particularly a polyolefin-based film material, coated on one side with a water resoluble resin-containing skin (2), and containing antimicrobial and/or odor-absorbing agents susceptible of being activated by organic liquids and blood liquids, such film material is particularly designed to form a disposable sanitary article (4) comprising a liquid-pervious topsheet (5), a liquid-impervious backsheet (6) and an absorbent layer (7) sandwiched between the topsheet (5) and the backsheet (6).

Abstract: A releasable mechanical fastener is provided using the hook or mushroom male strap, and instead of a dedicated female strap, utilizes a support and operational surface of the item to be fastened as the female material. A clothing or personal hygiene item is further provided, by way of example an infant diaper or an incontinence pad, utilizing a closable strap. The female material of the invention is not confined and not applied, but rather occupies and constitutes the support and operation surface of the device: it actually forms such surface of such clothing or personal hygiene item.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an agricultural use of a breathable polyolefin film (1), filled with CaCO3 and/or MgO-based fillers, having a water vapor permeability, based on ASTM D 6701-01 standards, of at least 500 g/m2 H2O/24 h and having an air permeability, based on ATICELCA MC 19-74 and TAPPI T 460 om-88 standards, below 100 min/cc of air, and having an average basis weight of 10 to 60 g/m2.
Abstract: This invention relates to a process for preparing breathable, elastic polyolefin films, including the steps of blow molding a mixture of olefins, styrenic thermoplastic elastomers and filler to facilitate the generation of porosity by stretching, squeezing the tubular to obtain a flat film, heating the flat film to the softening point, pressing the flat film, cooling the flat film to a temperature of 8 to 30° C., stretching the film in the transverse and/or longitudinal directions to make it breathable; it is also shown a plant for producing a breathable elastomeric polyolefin film and the use of a mixture of olefins, styrenic thermoplastic elastomers and filler to produce a breathable elastic film.

Abstract: An apparatus (1) for transversal drawing a film (2) in motion, has a pair of rollers (3, 4) rotating on parallel axes and fitted with toothed surface profiles (5, 6) that overlaps without touching each other. The profiles define a wavy passage (7) for the film, and rounded tips of the toothed profiles (5, 6) of the two rollers (3 and 4) define the points of application of the drawing action on the film (2).
