Abstract: A pipe clamp comprises a mounting post having a flexible arm extending laterally therefrom in a semi-circular arc. The arm defines with the mounting post an arcuate recess having spaced apart opposite ends between which different size pipe is selectively insertable into the recess. Opposed flexible fingers extend radially inwardly adjacent opposite ends of the recess. The fingers are axially angled between opposite sides of the clamp to facilitate bending of the fingers when contacted by the pipe during insertion of the pipe into the recess.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a backwater valve assembly comprising a main valve body, a flapper sub-assembly, and a cap. The main valve body has an inner wall that can define a recess into which the flapper sub-assembly can be removably secured. The flapper sub-assembly includes at least one flapper element that can pivot between an open position, in which the flapper element allows fluid to flow through the backwater valve assembly, and a closed position, in which the flapper element prevents fluid from flowing in the opposite direction. The flapper sub-assembly can be removably coupled to the cap to allow the flapper sub-assembly and cap to be installed in or removed from the main valve body together as a unitary assembly.

Abstract: A drain assembly for providing a drain in a floor. The drain assembly includes a drain conduit, a strainer and an adaptor. The drain conduit has an inner surface that defines a fluid flow path and an outer surface. The strainer is disposed above the drain conduit and has openings in fluid communication with the fluid flow path of the drain conduit. The adaptor may be securable in the drain conduit and may be connected to the strainer. Prior to securing the adaptor in the drain conduit, a position of the adaptor in the drain conduit may be moveable to allow a top surface of the strainer to be substantially aligned with the floor. A method of assembly is also disclosed.

The base member includes a tubular conduit having an upper end and a lower end sized to closely fit within an upper end of a lower downspout section. Surrounding the tubular conduit is a fluid chamber having an open upper end and a closed bottom, and a discharge opening adjacent the bottom. The sleeve member has a lower end sized to have a close sliding fit inside the open upper end of the chamber, and an upper end sized to have a close sliding fit over a lower end of an upper downspout section. The sleeve member is shaped to provide a narrow gap between the sleeve member and the upper end of the tubular conduit leading into the chamber surrounding the tubular conduit.

A twist on and twist off test cap may be used to seal off the drain pipe opening during pressure testing of a sanitary drainage system to which the drain pipe is connected.

Abstract: Adhesive compositions are described which comprise at least one organic sulfoxide, sulfone or sulfide and at least one ketone, ether, ester, amide or carbonate or a mixture thereof. The adhesive compositions also may contain one or more water insoluble polymers such as ABS, PVC and CPVC. Methods of adhesively bonding or welding a first plastic surface to a second plastic surface using these adhesive compositions also are described.

Within the body is a knockout for closing off the bore. The knockout has a frangible connection with an interior wall of the body and one or more portions that extend radially outwardly into a portion of the inlet opening that has a larger diameter than the bore to permit the knockout to be broken out of the body while preventing the knockout from passing all the way through the bore.

Abstract: A composition, and a method of using the composition, are described which composition comprising: (A) at least one chlorinated polyvinyl chloride or mixture of at least one polyvinyl-chloride and at least one chlorinated polyvinyl-chloride thereof; (B) at least one volatile organic liquid which is a solvent for the polymer of (A); and (C) a stabilizer comprising (i) an organophosphite compound, at least one hindered phenol, at least one of an organotin compound or mixtures thereof, and (ii) at least one metal-containing carbonate salt. The composition and methods of the present invention act to retard the loss of chlorine from the resins of the adhesive compositions and to absorb or otherwise inactive any lost chlorine. The compositions of the invention are useful in a variety of applications including use as adhesives, cements (including solvent cements) glues or pastes for holding together materials by surface attachment, and as sealants which are load-bearing elastic jointing and insulating materials.

Abstract: A waste and overflow system for a bathtub includes an overflow conduit having a threaded end and an overflow cap threaded at one end extending through the overflow opening in the bathtub into threaded engagement with the threaded end of the conduit. The other end of the overflow cap has a test cap portion removably connected thereto for closing off an overflow passage through the overflow cap during pressure testing of the system. The test cap portion is removable from the other end of the overflow cap upon completion of the system pressure test to open up the overflow passage through the overflow cap.

Abstract: The present invention relates to water soluble fluxes which comprise at least one wax carrier, at least one surfactant and at least one activator. The present water soluble fluxes are easily applicable with a brush. They have excellent pull through of solder in the joint. The water soluble flux avoids turning copper green and does not burst into flame on heating with a torch.
