    Abstract: In a method for operating a control panel for a production system in particular for printing system, a control system is provided comprising a main computer. The main computer is connected via a data connection with one or more client computers on which a browser is executed. The control panel for the production system is displayed in the respective browser. Via an operation of a user at the control panel, an action request is triggered at a web user interface with which an action is requested at the main computer. Upon every action request, the web user interface checks according to predetermined rules whether this action is allowed, and blocks the action if it is not allowed.

    Abstract: In a method to damp an oscillation of a roller driven via a drive in a printing system, a printing substrate web is directed across the roller, the roller and the printing substrate web forming a system capable of vibrating. With the drive the roller is driven with a predetermined nominal moment. With a sensor, a real value is determined of a variable representative of a velocity with which the printing substrate web is transported by the roller. In aid of a predetermined calculation rule, a correction moment is calculated from the determined real value such that a damping of the vibration-capable system results like a mechanical viscous damper. The correction moment is added to the predetermined nominal moment upon activation of the drive.

    Abstract: Described are a system and a method to activate an actuator for a first nozzle of a plurality of nozzles of an inkjet printing system. The inkjet printer system can be configured to generate triggers with a frequency for printing of a respective line of pixels by the plurality of nozzles. The frequency of the triggers can depend on a print speed of the inkjet printing system, and the print speed can be modifiable. A time period between two successive triggers can correspond to a total duration available to the first nozzle for an ink firing for printing of a pixel of the line. An indicator for a current print speed of the inkjet printing system can be determined. Depending on the indicator for the current print speed, a waveform for activation of an actuator can be defined to produce an ink firing for printing of the pixel of the line on the recording medium by the first nozzle within the total duration available at the current print speed.

A relative humidity sensor is at the printing unit. A relative humidity measured by the sensor is compared with a relative humidity of an input stack. Given a deviation a length change of the web between the synchronization sensor and the accessible point is calculated, the web being displaced by the length change at the accessible point.
