Patent number: 5447593Abstract: A method for reinforcing a concrete structure is disclosed in which the steps of (a) applying to a long fiber prepreg an adhesive, (b) attaching on the surface of the concrete structure the long fiber prepreg with the adhesive interposed between the surface of the concrete structure and the long fiber prepreg, and (c) curing the thermosetting resin at an ambient temperature are performed. The long fiber prepreg has as a matrix a thermosetting resin with a curing temperature of 70.degree. C. or above. The adhesive has a curing temperature of from 10.degree. to 40.degree. C., and accelerates the curing of the thermosetting resin impregnated in the long fiber prepreg.Type: GrantFiled: April 18, 1994Date of Patent: September 5, 1995Assignees: Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation, Ohbayashi CorporationInventors: Tuneo Tanaka, Kensuke Yagi, Tokitaro Hoshijima

Patent number: 5059063Abstract: A conglomerate layer is formed horizontally on a base of ground which has a high water permeability and easily liquefies. A bottom plate is formed on the conglomerate layer to construct the underground structure thereon. One or more drainpipes are extended upwardly from the conglomerate layer through the bottom plate for draining excessive pore water in the ground.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 1989Date of Patent: October 22, 1991Assignees: Ohbayashi Corporation, Chubu Electric Power Company, IncorporatedInventors: Tadao Sugimoto, Shigeki Tsuchiyama, Makoto Hayakawa, Yozo Goto, Tadao Koide, Tamotsu Endoh, Makoto Toriihara, Joji Ejiri

Patent number: 5019956Abstract: In this power control apparatus, a current flowing in a main current (201) is detected by a current transformer (202) and a zero-phase current transformer (203), provided in the main circuit. A value of this current is provided to a CPU (214) included in an intelligent controller (207). A maximum peak value and the like are evaluated by the CPU to be compared with predetermined set values. If those values are equal to or higher than the set values, an excitation signal is applied to a tripping device (205) to release a latch by a latch scheme (206) and thus to trip the circuit breaker. The CPU alters the set value when supplied with a setting alteration instruction from a central monitor (40), and causes the circuit breaker to be tripped when supplied with a stop instruction therefrom.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 1989Date of Patent: May 28, 1991Assignees: Ohbayashi Corporation, Morii Dengyo Kabushi Kaisha, Terasaki Denki SangyoInventors: Katsutoyo Nakayama, Toshimichi Morii, Toshihide Kamino

Patent number: 5017046Abstract: A conglomerate layer is formed in ground which has a high water permeability and is liable to be liquefied. An underground base of the structure is constructed on the conglomerate layer. One or more drainpipes are extended substantially horizontally from the conglomerate layer through the underground base so as to communicate with the surface of the ground.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 1989Date of Patent: May 21, 1991Assignees: Ohbayashi Corporation, Chubu Electric Power Company, IncorporatedInventors: Tadao Sugimoto, Shigeki Tsuchiyama, Makoto Hayakawa, Yozo Goto, Tadao Koide, Tamotsu Endoh, Makoto Toriihara, Joji Ejiri

Patent number: 5007214Abstract: An openable dome-shaped roof structure is provided upon a circular side wall and comprises a crescent-shaped fixed roof section, a pair of pivotable roof sections and a pair of slidable roof sections. Each pivotable roof section is connected to a respective slidable roof section by a pivot at peripheral end portions thereof so that the pivotable roof section can rotate to a position above the slidable roof section. The slidable roof sections are each provided to be able to rotate toward the upper surface of the fixed roof section about the center of the circle of the side wall.Type: GrantFiled: April 5, 1990Date of Patent: April 16, 1991Assignee: Ohbayashi CorporationInventors: Takashi Itami, Tadao Yuri, Toru Aoyagi

Patent number: 4953658Abstract: A seismic isolator for absorbing earthquake vibrations is provided which comprises a laminated member arranged to be interposed between a structure and a foundation, the laminated member comprising thin steel sheets having concavities and convexities extending in a single direction, flexible sheets stacked alternately with the steel sheets, and upper and lower end plates, all these sheets and plates being unitarily and fixedly bonded together. The upper and lower end plates are fixed to the structure and the foundation, respectively, in such a manner that the concavities and convexities extend in a direction in which earthquake vibrations are to be isolated from the structure. The seismic isolator of the present invention is particularly suitable for use with a bridge.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 1989Date of Patent: September 4, 1990Assignee: Ohbayashi CorporationInventor: Yozo Goto
