Patents Assigned to Oki Data Infotech Corporation
  • Patent number: 9679353
Abstract: When enlarged/reduced images to be displayed based on a predetermined original image are displayed on a display screen, each of the enlarged/reduced images is created and displayed at a higher speed. Therefore, desired regions within an original image are designated, and desired images including the entire designated desired region are read from the original image, and stored separately from the original image. Then, an enlargement/reduction ratio with respect to the original image is acquired, and an enlarged/reduced original image obtained by enlarging/reducing the original image with the enlargement/reduction ratio in both a long-side direction and a short-side direction is created and displayed on a display screen.

  • Patent number: 9672589
Abstract: In order to display a digital drawing on a display screen of a terminal device at a scale reduction compliant accurately to actual dimensions, a CPU of a tablet-type terminal device displays drawing data of a digital drawing on a display screen at a predetermined scale reduction. At this time, the CPU references attribute information of the data of the digital drawing, compares it with a display density of the tablet-type terminal device, and displays a design drawing on the display screen at a selected fixed scale reduction. In this configuration, the drawing data at a scale reduction compliant accurately to actual dimensions can be displayed on the display screen of the terminal device. Since the display compliant accurately to the actual dimensions is achieved, a user can measure distances and dimensions by directly using a triangle scale on the display screen.

  • Patent number: 9649858
Abstract: In a printer in which an inkjet head is mounted in a carriage, which is movable in a direction intersecting with a conveyance direction of a recording medium, and ink is ejected from the inkjet head to record an image onto the recording medium, there has been a problem in that the recording medium is charged due to friction and separation at the time of conveyance of the recording medium, and ink mist is attracted to a portion charged to have an unexpected pattern to be recorded. In view of this problem, static electricity generated on the recording medium is removed by providing the carriage with an ionizer for generating a positive ion and an ionizer for generating a negative ion and generating the ions at the time of scanning of the carriage. The static electricity can be removed efficiently by arranging on the carriage the ionizers for generating the ions of both polarities, namely, the positive ions and the negative ions.

  • Patent number: 9505236
Abstract: When an inkjet printer includes suction means for sucking the outside air into the inkjet printer, a heated recording medium is rapidly cooled by the air flowing in a vicinity of a discharge port for the recording medium. This causes fluctuations in surface temperature, resulting in degraded image quality. Accordingly, the inkjet printer has both a configuration capable of directly sucking, into a carriage, the outside air sucked into an apparatus, and a configuration of preventing the air from passing through an inside of the carriage. Thus, a temperature of the inside of the carriage can be reduced effectively. In order to prevent a reduction in temperature of the recording medium in the vicinity of the discharge port, a heater is arranged so as to increase a heating capacity of heating. Through temperature control on the heater based on a temperature of a region that is easily reduced in temperature, a local reduction in temperature of the recording medium is suppressed.

  • Patent number: 9505252
Abstract: A recording apparatus includes a recording head having nozzles ejecting ink onto a recording medium, a conveying unit that conveys the recording medium, and a carriage. A sensor is mounted on the carriage for detecting image density. A detection controller that performs control to record test patterns on the recording medium and read densities of the test patterns using the sensor to thereby detect a non-ejection nozzle of the recording head. The test patterns are formed by recording a line including a predetermined number of dots in predetermined areas for respective nozzles every plurality of times of conveyance of the recording medium. The detection controller reads the test patterns using the sensor, calculates a position of a non-recorded portion in the test patterns, and specifies a position of the non-ejection nozzle based on the calculated position of the non-recorded portion and positions of the nozzles that record the test patterns.

  • Patent number: 9469133
Abstract: Provided is a recording apparatus with an enhanced handling property, including a grip preventing a risk in that the recording apparatus may slip out of fingers. Accordingly, the grip is arranged on a back surface of the recording apparatus. A plurality of slits are formed in a metal plate on a back surface side of a main body. The grip is inserted into the slits, and both end portions of the grip are fixed. A center portion of a belt protrudes outward to function as the grip to be grasped by a user. The slits are each formed along a vertical direction, and a widthwise direction of the belt is defined as the vertical direction. Further, the slits regulate the belt, and hence the belt is not twisted even when the user grasps the belt, which provides structure facilitating transmission of a force. The user raises the laid recording apparatus while grasping the grip, thereby being capable of easily setting the recording apparatus in an upright position.

  • Patent number: 9346300
Abstract: An inkjet printer records an image on a recording medium by ejecting ink onto the recording medium from a recording head mounted on a carriage. A housing suction fan is arranged on a rear surface of the housing for sucking a gas from an outside into an inside of the housing. A carriage suction fan is arranged on the rear surface of the housing opposite to the housing suction fan for sucking into the carriage the gas sucked by the housing suction fan. A rear surface exhaust fan and a side surface exhaust fan are arranged on the rear surface and a side surface, respectively, of the housing for exhausting the gas inside the housing to the outside. The gas sucked by the housing suction fan is sucked into the carriage by the carriage suction fan and flows into the housing without being sucked by the carriage suction fan.

  • Patent number: 9248679
Abstract: When an inkjet printer ejects ink onto a recording medium on a go path and on a return path of a carriage, if ink cannot be ejected onto the same position on the go path and on the return path, image quality becomes poor. Test patterns with shifted ejection timing are hitherto recorded on the recording medium, and appropriate timing is input as a correction value. There is also an inkjet printer which automatically reads a test pattern, but the test pattern is recorded without consideration of a state of a head, and thus, accuracy is low. Therefore, a test pattern having a long period and a test pattern having a short period are recorded, and densities of the test patterns are read by a sensor. An extremum candidate is determined from the test pattern having a long period, and rough adjustment is made first. Then, in a region around the extremum, an extremum is determined from the test pattern having a short period.

  • Patent number: 9227447
Abstract: In a case where suction means for taking in outside air into an inkjet printer is provided, a heated recording medium is abruptly cooled by a flow of air, thereby causing cooling unevenness, which is a factor of degradation of image quality. Further, it is difficult to efficiently cool an inside of a carriage. In view of the above, provided are a structure for allowing the outside air, which is taken into a device of the inkjet printer, to be directly sucked into the carriage, and a structure for preventing the outside air from passing through the carriage. Thus, the temperature inside the carriage can be effectively decreased. Further, mechanisms for exhausting the gas are provided on both sides of a housing, specifically, one mechanism is provided on a side surface of the housing and another mechanism is provided on a rear surface thereof. Thus, unevenness of exhausted gas can be suppressed at the right and left of the housing.
