Patent number: 10955189Abstract: A fluidized bed dryer may include a deck, an eccentric, and a blower. A heater may or may not be included. The deck of the fluidized bed dryer may vibrate due to motion of the eccentric. The blower may blow air through the deck of the fluidized bed dryer to dry material on the deck. As the material dries, the material moves across the deck, due to the vibration. The deck bed depth may be increased, which may allow for even process air flow distribution and control of conveyance speed and residence time. The fluidized bed dryer may include a controller configured to implement a drying process that may include one or more of temperature, moisture content, and relative humidity data to optimize product throughput while ensuring a desired degree of dryness.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 2018Date of Patent: March 23, 2021Assignee: Oliver Manufacturing Company, Inc.Inventors: Okan Saribal, Matthew Barnes

Patent number: 9346082Abstract: An apparatus, method, and system are provided for separating material. In some embodiments the separator may include a deck. The deck may accept the material to be separated at a feed end and may provide separated output material at a discharge end. The flow of the material along the deck from the feed end to the discharge end may define a feed direction. The deck may be subject to a vibration or conveyance aligned with the feed direction. The deck may include riffles or corrugations. The riffles may be oriented at an angle relative to a direction of the vibration or conveyance, or at an angle relative to the feed direction. The deck may be subjected to an end-to-end elevation or slope. The end-to-end slope may be positive/downhill, negative/uphill, or zero.Type: GrantFiled: August 4, 2014Date of Patent: May 24, 2016Assignee: Oliver Manufacturing Company, Inc.Inventor: James A. Patent number: 6351676Abstract: A computer controlled separator device is disclosed. The computer control system monitors the operation of the separator device and makes any adjustments necessary to maintain optimal operation. An operator may input values representing desired operating parameters and/or desired product characteristics of the separator device. Alternatively, these values may be programmed into the computer control system in accordance with optimal product or system standards. The computer control system monitors the operation of the separator device and makes any adjustments necessary to maintain operation in accordance with the selected or programmed values. Specifically, the computer control system may monitor incoming and outgoing product characteristics, i.e. particle weight, particle density, or particle size; and/or operating parameters, i.e. air flow, vibration speed, side tilt, end raise, feed rate, divider knife position and cutout gate position.Type: GrantFiled: May 29, 1998Date of Patent: February 26, 2002Assignee: Oliver Manufacturing CompanyInventor: James A.
