Abstract: The device for applying a flowable medium, in particular a tissue adhesive is provided with at least one reservoir (16) for the medium, wherein said reservoir (16) comprises an outlet (22) from which the medium exits when pressure is applied to the medium and/or said reservoir (16). A pressure-generating element (20) acts upon the medium and/or said reservoir (16) and is biased by a biasing means (34). Said biasing means (34) can be locked with the aid of a controllable locking means (58), wherein said locking means (58) comprises a movable fixing element (54) which, in at least one fixing position, locks the biasing element (34) against movements caused by the biasing process, and is movable out of the at least one fixing position to release said biasing element (34).

Abstract: The applicator (10) for depositing a one- or multi-component fluid, particularly a tissue adhesive, comprises a housing (12) arranged for attachment of at least one supply container (16) for the fluid. The supply container (16) comprises a discharge opening (28) and a piston (20) for sliding displacement in the direction of said discharge opening (28). A tensioning lever (58) is pivotally supported on the housing (12), which, when manually operated, causes movement of a spring tensioning element (54) by which a spring (46) for storage of mechanical energy can be tensioned. Coupled to the spring tensioning element (54) is a drive element (66) being adapted to be driven, by the stored mechanical energy of said spring (46), in increments and which is arranged to move a press-on element (84) acting on said piston (20) for displacing it in the direction of said discharge opening (28) of said supply container (16).
Abstract: An application device for applying a multicomponent tissue adhesive which includes a plurality of supply reservoirs for respectively one fluid component, each supply reservoir having a front end with an opening for discharge of the respective fluid component. The front ends of the supply reservoirs are arranged within accommodating connecting pieces of a connecting headpiece. The accommodating connecting pieces are provided with projections extending radially outwards. The supply reservoirs are held by a holding device. The application device is further provided with a coupling element for releasably connecting the holding device to the connecting headpiece, the coupling element including an encompassing member with a plurality of encompassing zones for at least partially encompassing the accommodating connecting pieces and for abutment on the sides of the projections of the accommodating connecting pieces facing away from the holding device.
Abstract: A stabilized solution of fibrinogen containing samples, in particular a stabilized solution of the biological active component (BAC) which is a solution of proteins derived from blood plasma comprising fibrinogen, tranexamic acid and arginine or lysine or mixtures or arginine and lysine, their pharmaceutically acceptable salts, as well as, optionally, substances forming a buffered solution in aqueous medium.
